Oris continues its commitment project to ocean conservation with the Oris Carysfort Reef Limited Edition. This limited edition Oris dive watch is unique yet classic in look and has a GMT function, 30-bar water resistance and is automatic-winding with a 42-hour power reserve.
The timepiece was created to celebrate the 30,000 planted corals to date in partnership with the Coral Restoration Foundation in Florida. Oris began its partnership with this foundation in 2014 as part of it mission to bring ‘Change for the Better’ in the face of a global ecological disaster in our oceans. The Swiss watch company has made it its mission to help protect the world’s oceans, building upon their ocean clean-up from last year in partnership with Pacific Garbage Screening. With this new watch and coral restoration mission, Oris hopes to expand on its goal to clean up our oceans and preserve the irreplaceable marine life within them.
The Oris Carysfort Reef Limited Edition is limited to 2,000 timepieces and is encased in stainless steel. It comes with a vibrant Oris-branded and rubber orange strap. It can display time in up to three time zones utilizing the 24-hour scale laser-engraved into the ceramic bezel. The case itself measures 43.5mm and comes with domed sapphire glass on both sides with internal anti-reflective coating. This sapphire casing helps to protect and enhance the mesmerizing ocean blue dial which appears to shift color in the light.
In dark settings, the watch is equipped with Superluminova BG W9 for its indices and hands. The case back of the watch is also stainless steel screwed and covers a caliber Oris 798 Movement. The case back is adorned with special aquatic engravings celebrating the conservation cause and limited nature of the watch. The Oris Carysfort Reef Limited Edition retails at PHP139,386.
An even more exclusive and luxury timepiece comes in the form of the Oris Aquis. It is identical to the Carysfort in its dimensions and shimmering blue watch face, but is crafted from 18K gold and comes with a solid dark blue leather strap. The Oris Aquis is limited to just 50 pieces and retails for PHP941,380.
