In a country where multiple phones from different brands are a normal thing, this new Kickstarter project might be heaven sent.
The LMcable is designed to charge both iPhone and Android devices. It has a reversible male end with one side connecting to the iPhones Lightning port and the other to the microUSB port of Android smartphones. On the opposite end of that, of course, is the standard USB male connector. Nifty, right?
It’s also a pretty stylish gadget accessory as the cable is wrapped in leather. You can get it in white, brown, black, or blue. And it comes with a brass buckle to make stowing it away a bit easier.
The one thing it can’t do, though, is transfer data. So, don’t throw out those microUSB and Lightning cables just yet.
They’ve already reached their AU$5,000 goal and there’s still 28 days left to support the accessory. What’s available now is priced at $21 (about P700) for one LMcable, $45 (about P1,500) for three cables, and $1,400 (about P47,000) for the distributor pack which has 100 pieces. It’s expected to ship in April.
