Just when we thought big flagship announcements for the year are done. LG one ups everyone by announcing another flagship device and a new smartphone line. And the best news? The local launch for the new device is set for Wednesday, November 25.
The V10 is the first smartphone out of the new V Series and is introducing a lot of new features into LG’s smartphone portfolio, including a Second Screen, Dual Front Cameras, and its Manual Video mode.
LG describes the Second Screen as “an inset display set above the V10’s main 5.7-inch QHD IPS Quantum Display” and it is said to work independent of the main screen with an “always on” capability. This reminds us a bit of the edge line of phones from Samsung. It’ll display things like weather, time, date, and battery icon. It can also show you shortcuts to your favorite apps.
The South Korean tech giant is upping the ante more for its cameras’ features. It gets the same rear shooter as the G4 but adds a new Manual Mode for video, allowing you to adjust white balance, ISO levels, and audio reception for the videos you shoot on your V10.
And for the first time in an LG device, the V10 comes with 5-megapixel dual front cameras with separate lenses. What this will give you are options to take 80-degree close range selfies or 120-degree wide angle selfies to get more people into your shot.
LG’s also introducing a Multi-View mode that will let you use all three cameras at the same time and take up to four different frames.
Another thing we do know now is it retails for P37,990. For availability and all the other specs, we’ll find out soon enough. We’ll keep you posted for updates.
