Last week, Lenovo opened its first Legion Concept Store in the Philippines as part of its efforts to bring game-changing devices closer to Filipino gamers. Located at the 4th floor of the Annex Building of SM City North EDSA, the store features a wide range of products from Lenovo’s Legion gaming lineup. Visitors can personally test and play games using the machines on display. We also got to get a look the newest member of the Legion line—the Lenovo Legion Y740.
“As the gaming market grows exponentially every year, we at Lenovo would like to maintain our commitment in providing best performing and top of the line devices to the Philippines, which includes the Legion line of gaming notebooks,” said Lenovo Philippines Country General Manager Michael Ngan. “The exclusive Legion store was conceptualized to support the local gaming culture and provide virtually everything that a gamer needs.”
The Legion Y740 is Lenovo’s first device to have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card. For esports professionals and mainstream gamers who mostly play AAA games, the Y740 promises up to 6x faster performance than that of previous generation graphics cards. Inside, it is powered by an Intel Core i7-8750H processor and it comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB + 256GB SSD memory. It’s great at running games at 1080p or 1440p resolution on its 15.6-inch FHD IPS 144HZ slim bezel display. The Legion Y740 also prides itself as the thinnest and lightest among similarly spec’d and priced NVIDIA RTX-powered devices, being only 19.95mm thin and 4.9lbs. light.
The Legion Y740 retails at P119,995 and can be purchased at the Legion Concept Store, Lenovo concept stores, and other major electronics stores nationwide. Buyers can enjoy two-year onsite warranty, and those who purchase until March 31, 2019 can get a free JBL Clip 2 and Lenovo Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) support worth as much as P9,000.
