Gamers, unite! Lenovo debuts a new roster of gaming PCs and laptops—including a select model from the new Legion line first found in CES last January—through a gaming convention last weekend.
The Legion sub-brand offers two gaming laptops and is Lenovo’s answer to the growing community of gamers. In the country, Lenovo offers the more mainstream yet equally powerful Legion Y520. To read more about the specs of the Y520 (and its bigger brother), click here.
Accompanying the new Legion line are two more offerings beefed up to be powerful gaming machines: the Ideapad Y910 and the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube.
The virtual reality-ready Ideapad Y910 is built with a 6th generation Intel Core i7 K processor and is equipped with One Key Turbo that provides instant CPU boost in just a single click. This gaming laptop also features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080M GPU that can reach 4K resolution.
On the other hand, if gaming PCs are your thing then there’s the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube, a futuristic-looking powerhouse. The Y710 Cube features a 6th generation Intel Core i7 K processor, 16GB of DDR4 memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU that allows for up to 4K resolution gaming.
This small but terrible gamer companion also has the looks and functionality to boot: the matte grey plastic body and a three-pronged front edge with glowing red lines make the Y710 Cube look like some decapitated robotic head. Its built-in carrying handle also makes the 7.4-kilogram 15.48-inch-long PC luggable.
Currently, the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube is available at Lenovo Philippines retail stores for P81,900. The Lenovo Legion Y520 lands on authorized retail stores this February, while the Ideapad Y910 on the first quarter of this year. Pricing for both the Legion Y520 and the Ideapad Y910 are to be announced.
