When Coventry Motors Corporation (CMC) unveiled the new Land Rover Defender in the country back in August, it only came in the 110 chassis and one engine variant in the form of a 3.0L 6-cylinder twin-turbo with mild hybrid system.
Now, CMC announces that they are bringing in the Defender D240 in both 90 and 110 bodies by early Q1 2021. Both will be powered by the state-of-the-art Ingenium D240 twin-turbocharged diesel engine that produces 240ps at 4,000rpm and 430Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm. This is paired with an 8-speed automatic that delivers power to, needless to say, all four wheels.
“With the growing following and demand for this truly exceptional vehicle, introducing a new powertrain and an additional body option comes as a natural progression in line with the brand’s intention to satisfy every driver’s desire to own and drive the most capable Land Rover yet,” said Chris Ward, President of Coventry Motors Corp.
The 3-door 90 and 5-door 110 almost have the same features, with the 110 having a few advantages namely air suspension, adaptive dynamics, front passenger ISOFIX, and folding rear seats.
The Defender D240 can still be personalized in either Urban, Country, Adventure, and Explorer packages with the following prices:
