“We strive to be the trailblazer in terms of sustainability by developing cutting-edge technologies and virtuous processes that enable us to manage our impact, avoid waste, keep consumption in check and prevent pollution,” said Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

The executive noted that in 2019, Lamborghini focused on the launch of its new Paintshop to service the Lamborghini Urus Super SUV. Among the features in the Paintshop are Class A high-energy efficiency systems and the latest generation of LED lighting components. Also, as much as 95% of the colors used in the facility are water-based, and solvent emissions are kept very low thanks to a centralized scrubber system that recovers the heat used in the production process.

Last year, Lamborghini also pushed for greater awareness for sustainability—and the culture promoting this—through various campaigns. Among the company’s more recent efforts are that it has weaned its restaurant off the use of plastic items, and has held educational meetings in collaboration with The Climate Reality Project, a non-profit organization advocating for initiatives related to climate change. In line with these, Lamborghini has spared no effort in raising awareness among its employees on the climate crisis and promoting solutions to counteract the effects of this through energy transition and sustainable mobility. The various meetings have afforded the company a deeper understanding of what can be done to make a difference.

“We are honored to participate in the program and bear witness to the message that we are all responsible in the fight against climate change through our actions toward the environment and our community, and that we can all do our part,” Domenicali said.

He underscored Lamborghini is pursuing industrial development that considers the community and the wider environment, something from which the company’s associates derive satisfaction and pride. At the same time, Domenicali said Lamborghini’s commitment to environmental protection comes alongside the company’s growth; the Raging Bull brand in 2019 saw global deliveries rise 43%, jumping from 5,750 units the previous year to 8,205 vehicles last year.
