PH counterpart commends innovation to reduce costs and improve delivery services
With the growth of e-commerce due to technology and the Covid-19 pandemic, J&T Express Philippines commended the opening of a new era of aviation courier services by J&T Express Indonesia last March 18 as the latter unveiled at the Budiarto Airport in Tangerang City, Indonesia one of seven all-cargo aircraft dedicated to enhancing the company’s logistics services while reducing transportation costs.
The leased Boeing 737-300 model has a maximum capacity of 15 tons and aims to mainly serve the Jakarta-Medan and Jakarta-Batam-Tanjung Pinang cargo routes, with at least two flights a day. According to the J&T Express Group, the deployment of an all-cargo charter model in Indonesia will greatly reduce air transportation costs, increase air transportation capacity, and establish stable and efficient air transportation services.
Established in 2015, J&T Express helped Indonesia enter the era of same day delivery. J&T Express’ high-end aircraft are loaded and unloaded on the same day, while inter-island express mail except Jawa, are delivered the next day. With the addition of dedicated air freight, J&T Express customers can expect faster delivery times.
Vice President of J&T Express Philippines Zoe Chi sees the addition of dedicated air freight as a significant upgrade, “We are constantly expanding our reach, updating our roster of quality courier services, and maximizing technology to make operations safe, efficient, reliable, and customer-oriented to cater to the diverse needs of Filipinos,” Chi said.
J&T Philippines has been providing logistics services to Filipinos since 2019 and is quickly becoming a key player in e-commerce delivery. “As part of the J&T Express global brand, we applaud J&T Indonesia’s initiatives to provide faster and better services to its customers,” Chi said.
J&T Express Philippines currently has 600 branches with free pick-up services and caters to almost every province in the country 365 days a year even on holidays. Customers can easily track their packages real-time via J&T’s service platforms: mobile application, website, hotline, and social media.
