Isuzu Philippine Corporation (IPC) introduced the new 2024 D-MAX, a truck designed to shake up the pickup segment with its combination of power, style, and cutting-edge features. The launch, held at the Central Atrium of SM Mall of Asia, showcased various D-MAX variants and offered a special Isuzu 4×4 Action Playground test drive activity which runs from June 20-23, highlighting the vehicle’s off-road capabilities and new safety features.
Since its debut in 2003, the Isuzu D-MAX has been synonymous with reliability, durability, and fuel-efficiency. The 2024 model continues this tradition while incorporating the latest technological and safety advancements. “Over the years, we have continuously introduced numerous advancements to the D-MAX, all the while ensuring that it remains true to its core values, whilst evolving to meet the needs and desires of our customers. This latest evolution is the product of listening to the feedback of our customers and dealers, integrating their insights into the design and functionality of this new model,” said IPC President Tetsuya Fujita.
The new D-MAX exudes strength and aggression, boasting a new sporty exterior. It features a new 3D grille with a gunmetal-and-black chrome finish, accentuated by its new LED headlamps with redesigned Daytime Running Lights. Completing the front fascia are new foglamps with air curtain. The look is further complemented by its new Cargo Sail bed accessory, 18-inch all-terrain alloy wheels with a Matte Dark Gray Metallic finish, and at the back, a new triple-wing LED rear combination lamp completing its overall look.
The 2024 D-MAX offers a new digital pattern “Miura” design interior. The new D-MAX also has a lot of comfort and convenience features, like a new wireless charger, 2nd-row aircon vents, new 7-inch Digital MID with a more dynamic design providing more information about the vehicle, and a new infotainment system available in 10.1-inch and 9-inch variations, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Connectivity.
For safety, the new Isuzu D-MAX is equipped with Isuzu’s Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS), featuring a new Gen4 SMART DUO Cam with enhanced field of view both horizontally and vertically, improving its ADAS accident-avoidance capabilities. Additionally, the new D-MAX now comes with a 360-degree Around View Monitor, new Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RCTB) and a first-in-class built-in Digital Video Recorder.
Taking the already exceptional performance of the D-MAX to the next level, the new truck now comes with a new Differential Lock system and new Rough Terrain Mode, as Isuzu aims to recapture the hardcore 4×4 enthusiasts, making the vehicle capable of tackling challenging terrains across the country.
At the heart of the new D-MAX is Isuzu’s reliable 4JJ3-TCX Blue Power engine, delivering 190ps of power and 450Nm of torque. Coupled with its legendary durable chassis and suspension, the new D-MAX looks set to deliver on the vehicle’s promise of long-term performance and reliability.
Along with the introduction of the new 2024 D-MAX, Isuzu is also announcing a new variant, the D-MAX 4×2 LS-E AT—a new entry into the 4×2 segment, this variant has been sought after by customers. For the D-MAX LS-A, Isuzu introduced two variants, the regular LS-A variant, which sports a 9-inch infotainment system, and the D-MAX LS-A Plus variant, which boasts the 10-inch infotainment system, 360-degree Around View Monito and Digital Video Recorder.
The new 2024 Isuzu D-MAX comes in its banner color, Namibu Orange, and the new Biarritz Blue color that is only available in the high-end LS-E variant. Other colors include Onyx Black, Islay Gray, Satin Pearl White, and Splash White. The prices are as follows:

Happening simultaneously as the launch, Isuzu is also bringing back its famed Isuzu 4×4 Action Playground, a specially designed test course aimed at showcasing the capabilities of the new D-MAX.
The Action Playground features seven challenging stations including the Rough Terrain Roller, Articulated Ramps, Side Camber, Road Grinder, Chicane, Forward Collision Wall, and the crowd favorite, Hydraulic Ramp. These stations are crafted to demonstrate the D-MAX’s prowess in handling off-road conditions while emphasizing its top-tier safety features.
The excitement kicks off at SM Mall of Asia from June 20-23, where enthusiasts can get an up-close look at the D-MAX’s engineering and design. Following this, the Action Playground will embark on a nationwide tour, stopping at SM Cebu Seaside from July 5-7 and SM Lanang Davao from July 26-28.
