Lao Tzu’s often quoted saying “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” can be applied to a lot of things in life, including your fitness. You have to take it a step at a time to get to the results you want. And you need tools to help with your goals. And that’s part of what Huawei is trying to promote with the local availability of the TalkBand B2.
The company’s latest wearable comes in Sport and Executive Editions to cater to different styles and needs. Both models though come with a 6-axis motion sensor to detect and track activities such as running, walking, cycling, climbing, or hiking. It can also keep track of your sleep as well. You can sync the data it gathers with your smartphone and share the information on social media.
One unique feature this smartwatch has is the watch face/body also serves as a Bluetooth earpiece. The TalkBand B2 can detect if you have an earpiece attached to the wristband or not and it can automatically push audio (whether music or calls) to the TalkBand B2’s earpiece or to your smartphone. This smartwatch can also help you locate your misplaced or missing mobile (no matter what brand) through vibration or ring tone alerts.
It promises a battery life of up to five days. It can handle up to six hours of continuous call time and 12 days of standby time.
The TalkBand 2 is equipped with a 0.73-inch PMOLED touchscreen that you can swipe through different features such as time/date, steps taken, sleep time, and calories burned. You can either get it in the white or black TPU-made Sport Edition for P6,990 or buy the Executive Edition, which comes with a brown leather strap, for P7,990.
