It seems that we can’t get enough of zombie-infested apocalyptic flicks. Not to worry, iflix just updated its library of exclusives with the worldwide sleeper hit that made waves last year: Train to Busan.

Yeon Sang-ho’s film follows a group of passengers who must survive a zombie outbreak in Korea while on a speeding train. Divorced absentee father Seok-woo, played by award-winning Korean star Gong Yoo (Goblin, Coffee Prince), and her daughter Su-an band with expecting couple Sang Hwa (Dong-seok – Midnight FM; The Good, The Bad, and The Weird) and Sung Gyeong (Yu-mi Jung – Silenced, Our Sunhi), and a few more uninfected are working to reach their destination alive.

Hailed as one of the best zombie movies to date, Train to Busan has been nominated for multiple Best Film awards, broken box office records across Asia, and received both attention and acclaim in the international scene as it premiered at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival’s Midnight Screening.

The film, “a global hit that transcends genres,” according to iflix Philippines Country Manager Sherwin Dela Cruz, joins the Internet TV service provider as part of the company’s commitment to provide in-demand entertainment to its subscribers.

Train to Busan not only appeals to fans of Gong Yoo or Korean dramas, but to sci-fi enthusiasts as well as action buffs,” he said. “We’re excited to premiere it, only on iflix.”
