After a star-studded week of launches and releases, this week is relatively quiet. Here are a bunch of news bits you may have missed from last week:

  • Spotify adds gaming section. The popular music streaming app is now properly optimized for gaming use. Gamers can play curated playlists when they play games. They can also have their favorite game’s soundtracks for when they do everything else.
  • The best beef from Canada. We Filipinos love our beef: angus, wagyu, kobe. Here’s another type to add to your list: Canadian. Technically raised with Bos Taurus genes, Canadian beef promises to be better as it focuses on product, its producers, and its sustainability.
  • The return of Adam West. Ever since Tim Burton set his sights on Batman, we’ve always known the Caped Crusader as the Dark Knight. Back in the ‘60s, Adam West took Batman to a much sillier spin. Complete with over-the-top effects and a Joker to rival Ronald McDonald, the Batman of the ‘60s didn’t take itself seriously at all. Now, it’s been announced that Adam West will once again don the tights, at least in an animated form. A new animated film in the style of the ‘60s will come out in the future.
  • That Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence tandem. Speaking of movie news, we’re set for a new sci-fi film featuring the duo of Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, which released its first photo this weekend. The film will be set in a space ship with thousands of hibernating humans. Lawrence and Pratt are the only ones awake to maintain the ship. The plot advances as the two start to develop feelings for one another and problems arise with the ship.
