HUAWEi unveils world’s first tri-fold smartphone, alongside flagship PC-level tablet and open-ear audio device

HUAWEI has unveiled a lineup of audio, wearable, tablets, and foldable products during the HUAWEI Innovative Product Launch held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Taking the spotlight is the HUAWEI Mate XT | ULTIMATE DESIGN, the world’s first commercial trifold smartphone.

The leading global tech brand also announced three new products: an upgraded edition of the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2-inch, the brand’s first hooked earphones HUAWEI FreeArc, and the HUAWEI Band 10. HUAWEI’s latest lineup of devices is slated to launch soon in the Philippines.

When fully unfolded, it features a 10.2-inch display, delivering a tablet-like experience and one of the largest foldable screens available. It measures just 3.6mm in thickness when fully opened, making it also one of the thinnest foldables to date.

Built with an Advanced Precision Hinge System and an ultra-large 322 cm ultra-thin glass (UTG), the trifold device has achieved a breakthrough in durability and is the first to feature inward and outward folding at the same time. With a 13.2-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display built with professional colour accuracy, ultra-high brightness up to 1,000 nits, and ultra-high 2.8K resolution, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025 brings the ultimate display experience with life-like visuals and top-notch clarity. The smart tablet also features PC-level WPS Office that allows desktop mode editing for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. HUAWEI has also introduced the HUAWEI FreeArc, its very first open-ear true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds with earhooks. To achieve an ergonomic and breathable design, the earbuds revive HUAWEI’s iconic C-Bridge Design while incorporating 0.7mm high-performance nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) shape memory alloy that molds easily to users’ ears.
