Huawei PH helps medical frontliners manage wellness, donates Band 6 units
Huawei Philippines helps St. Luke’s Medical Center promote wellness monitoring among Filipino frontliners, donating 50 units of its recent fitness wearable Huawei Band 6 to the hospital. Huawei Philippines sympathizes with the Filipino medical workforce who brave the frontlines daily in battling the current global health challenge. In order to help the modern-day heroes manage their own wellness, Huawei Philippines donated multiple units of its latest fitness watch Huawei Band 6 to the staff of St. Luke’s Medical Center.

The country’s present-day health situation has pushed medical frontliners to clock in absurd hours of work just to make sure every Filipino patient gets the best care and the fighting chance to live a healthy life. While the health crisis rages on, these heroes are plagued incessantly by long hours of work, multiple patient attendance, and intense stress levels — putting on the line their own wellbeing.

“The demand for quality healthcare has been at an all-time high since the start of the pandemic. Our medical frontliners have been working tirelessly to provide the needs of patients who are urgently seeking treatment. The donation of Huawei Philippines is but timely to give our frontliners a little boost to keep on going. I believe the smart functions of Huawei Band 6 will be helpful to monitor one’s state of wellness at any given time”, shares Dr. Arturo De La Peña, President and CEO of St. Luke’s Medical Center.

HUAWEI Band 6 is a long-lasting fitness tracker with a full-screen. It has an all-day SpO2 monitoring system, which alerts people of harmful situations like fatigue or quickened pulse rates. It also has a two-week battery life, ideal for those working long hours with minimum leeway to charge devices. Its 1.47-inch FullView Amoled Display conveniently shows alerts from the user’s smartphones. And lastly, with its waterproof build, the Huawei Band 6 can stand scenarios that need intense sanitation like handwashing.

“We at Huawei Philippines have the highest respect for Filipino frontliners. We can’t thank you enough for your hard work and sacrifices. We hope that through the simple donation of our fitness watch Band 6, we were able to arm you in facing the hurdles you have to triumph over every day. We, along with the entire Philippines, will continue to cheer you on from the sidelines. Mabuhay po kayo!” notes Charlie Kong, Head of Ecosystem, Huawei Philippines.

Huawei Philippines donated a total of fifty Band 6 units to St. Luke’s Medical Center. The tech giant is looking at doing more donation campaigns for different hospitals in the country.

The Huawei Band 6 was launched in the Philippines last April 18. It is the latest in Huawei’s array of fitness wearables. The data it generates from its plethora of monitoring functions can be accessed through the Huawei Health App, which is available across key app distribution platforms: App Gallery, Google Playstore and App Store.
