With the Huawei Nova 3i officially out on the market, its higher spec’d brother—the Nova 3—makes its debut alongside it. The Nova 3 is also a quad camera-toting smartphone but packs in a more powerful processor and bigger RAM. What else can you expect from this P25,990 device?
For starters, you get the eye-catching double curved 3D glass on both the front and back of the phone. It features the color-shifting Iris Purple shade, which reminds us a bit of the Honor 10 but also the earlier released P20 flagships. But if this shade isn’t for you, Huawei is also offering the Nova 3 in Black and Red.
Like the Nova 3i, it sports a 6.3-inch FullView Display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. You also get dual SIM support (with a hybrid SIM tray) and 128GB internal storage (which is expandable via microSD). Both also have the front 24-megapixel and 2-megapixel combo. The latter is a depth sensor to help with portrait mode and produce better photos with that bokeh effect. At the rear you get a 16-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 24-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/1.8 aperture. This monochrome sensor is similar to what we’ve seen in Huawei’s Mate and P series devices.
Another thing the Nova 3 shares with those devices is the Kirin 970 processor powering this phone. It also runs on 6GB of RAM and has a 3,750mAh battery. Huawei boasts that this Kirin processor comes with the company’s GPU Turbo graphics processing technology to make sure you get a smooth, high-quality gaming experience.
The Nova 3’s pre-order will start on August 4 to 10 and will be out in stores by August 11. Home Credit is supporting the pre-order, making the phone available for 0% over six and nine months. If you pre-order the phone, you’re entitled to get a free Huawei Bluetooth speaker worth P2,990.
