The seamless encounters I had while setting up the MatePad and connecting both accessories speak volume. It’s almost as if it was second nature to me.
Let’s start with the M-Pencil. It has 10,000+ pressure sensing levels, allowing it to recognize changes in the force you apply. Not only is it enjoyable to use given how responsive it is with every stroke, but it’s also very comfortable to grip even for long hours.
Meanwhile the Smart Magnetic Keyboard provides users a satisfying tactile feel with its 1.5mm key travel. It’s also got some slim, minimalist design that perfectly blends with the MatePad 11.5”S. Another noteworthy thing is it’s detachable, making it highly versatile. You can use it in various forms: laptop, split, or studio.
And finally, charging won’t be a challenge since you can simply do so by just attaching the M-Pencil and Smart Magnetic Keyboard to the tablet.
Display
For the main event, we have the 11.5-inch 2.8K IPS LCD panel with PaperMatte Display 2.0.

Camera

SuperHub has been here for a while now and it has become a favorite given how it has significantly improved every user’s workflow. Simply drag text, images, or files to the SuperHub floating window so you can easily access them in your device and other HUAWEI devices.
Next up is the PC-level WPS Office. This mirrors the experience of desktop users while editing documents, spreadsheets, and powerpoints; hence, one can relish the familiar laptop interface without the heavy load of having such.
For multi-taskers out there like myself, the Floating Multi-Window will be our best friend. It can even give us the flexibility to resize and stack them to our liking.
Lastly, the HUAWEI Notes and its Note Replay feature will be every student’s dream review buddy as it displays audio and handwritten content simultaneously, making it easy to trace back the moment you wrote something down.
Unleashing your creativity with the GoPaint app
Upon testing out HUAWEI’s self-developed app, GoPaint, one thing stood out: it’s the fact that it has pro-level functions for the ultimate digital painting experience minus the intimidating interface. Budding artists will greatly benefit from this. Once the tutorial was done, it felt intuitive to experiment with different tools and brushes.
There are 100 brushes and realistic textures at your disposal, giving you plenty of freedom to create your masterpiece. As you familiarize yourself even more with the app, you can gradually progress by utilizing more professional functions.
