We know you’ve been itching to lay your hands on a new phone this new year, but the risks of boring a large hole in your pocket is just too great. This January, consumer finance company Home Credit and tech giant Samsung has you covered, providing an array of smartphone options—at 0% interest.
Participating models are the beefed-up Samsung Galaxy A7 and A5 (2017) and crowd favorites Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and J7.
Sleek and elegant
Priced at ₱23,990, the 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy A7 is described by 2.O Online Editor Luigi Leonardo as “essentially a midrange driver with the essential features of a flagship phone.” (See his review here.) Along with its 5.2-inch brother, the Samsung Galaxy A5 worth ₱19,990, the A7 are upgraded iterations of last year’s A series.
Both the A7 and the A5 feature aluminum unibody designs with a glass-covered back, full-HD super AMOLED display, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, 16-MP front and rear cameras, and fingerprint sensor.
The A7 and A5 models can be availed at all partner stores from Home Credit for nine-month installments at zero interest from January 28 to March 25.
Crowd favorites
For even more affordable deals, there’s also the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016). The J7 Prime, priced at ₱13,990, is a 5.5-inch full-HD phone featuring a unibody design with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4, 13MP rear camera with F1.9 lens, and 3GB of RAM.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) costs ₱11,990. It boasts Signal Max for wider signal coverage, Ultra Data Saving for optimized mobile data usage, and Ultra Power Saving Mode to help reserve the juice.
Home Credit offers 0% interest for both the J7 Prime and the J7 for a six-month installment. Promo for these models runs from January 21 to March 5.
Home Credit Head of Sales Adam Bernasek said that a similar promo last Christmas was triggered by the public’s wish to buy new phones, particularly Samsung. This month, he claims that “the demand is still there for people to have something new to welcome a brand new year. Home Credit and Samsung are more than happy to meet this demand with our latest 0% interest promos.”
