B.o.B’s “Magic” kept playing on loop as Happy Mobile formally debuted its similarly named Magic line of phones on September 19th. Sporting nearly identical specs, the Magic Touch, Magic Pro, and Magic smartphones bring decent specs into the entry-level, bordering mid-range market.
The Magic and Magic Pro only differ in terms of design with the Pro having a more curvy profile and the Magic being more angular. Both have shinier plastic cases to house its internals. Both sport 5-inch QHD OGS IPS displays, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and 13-megapixel rear camera as well as 5-megapixel front shooter.
Both devices run on Android 4.4 KitKat, have 1GB of RAM, and 8GB internal storage. These smartphones are also dual SIM devices and share the P4,499 price tag. It boils down to your design preference with the Magic and Magic Pro.
Now, if you want something with a bigger screen, the Magic Touch is your bet. It has a 5.5-inch QHD OGS IPS screen with what Happy Mobile calls the “Vivid Scene” user interface. When demonstrated to us, it seemed like a launcher of sorts that can take you to the apps people commonly use. It’s a photo of various rooms inside a house and when you tap on the desk calendar, for example, it’ll take you to your digital calendar.
Other than these features, the Magic Touch offers the same specs as the Magic and Magic Pro. But for this smartphone, you need to shell out P5,999 for it.
