Globe’s giving its subscribers more reasons to avail its GoSURF data plans. The telco is now bringing full photo and video browsing capability to its Free Facebook access and free data access for games and Spotify.
Free Facebook has been available to Globe subscribers for a while already. Now, users registered through any GoSURF plan, can also view photos, stream videos uploaded on Facebook, and even access Messenger app for free (excluding calls, that is).
The free access extends to Android and iOS apps as well as through browsers (via m.facebook.com). And you won’t need maintaining balance to access these. Postpaid customers automatically get access to free Facebook. You just need to opt in by texting FREE FB ON to 8888. Meanwhile, prepaid subscribers will gain access after they purchase a GoSURF promo bundle. The free access will last for the extent of the GoSURF subscription you purchase.
Once registered, you’ll receive a text message to let you know you have free access to Facebook. You also should see a “No Data Charges” banner on top of the Facebook app or mobile site once it’s activated.
If mobile gaming is more your thing, Globe also has a new GoSURF promotion. The telco introduced former Pinoy Big Brother winner Slater Young as the face of the new Tattoo GoSURF50.
This new promo gives subscribers extra data allocation to play some of the top mobile games, including Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Summoners War, Soul Seeker, Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, Hay Day, Dungeon Hunter 5, Brave Frontier, and Asphalt 8: Airborne.
If you’re subscriber to Tattoo GoSURF50, you get 300MB data plus 400MB extra data allocation for these games and Spotify Basic as well. Globe has a range of plans to cater to your different requirements, all of them come with free access to these games. You can check out the offers in the table below.
According to Ray Guinoo, director for Tattoo Mobile Broadband, GoSURF is at “its best value ever” with these latest offerings. And if you’re worried about running out of data allocation with all the gaming you’ll be doing, Globe will let you know when you’re about to run out of data. For example, with the GoSURF50, it’ll start warning you once you used up 80 percent of the total 700MB allocation you get with the plan.
Globe assures that they’re capable of handling the bandwidth required by its new offerings.
