Grab has since forged partnerships with strategic companies across various industries such as Ninja Van, Toni&Guy, L’Oreal, HOOQ, Agoda, and more Grab Philippines president Brian Cu says, “Our aim is to solve everyday problems so that Filipinos can do more. We are doing this by breaking daily limitations such as limited transportation solutions, disconnected systems and services, and lack of financial inclusion. We then collaborate with partners to create a suite of connected services within one app and help unlock the benefits of the digital economy to Filipinos.”

What’s New?

Grab has already launched some of these partnerships, including Bus Marketplace launched last July. This allows users to skip the queue and book tickets from its bus partners in advance. Initially offered for point-to-point operations by Tas Trans and San Agustin, the service is now being expanded to cover provincial routes from Olongapo to Clark, Clark to Dagupan, Makati to Noveleta, and Makati to Cavite.

For its logistics arm, GrabExpress will now serve nationwide deliveries. In partnership with Ninja Van, bulk pickups and next-day scheduled pickups will all be accessible in the Grab app.

On to lifestyle, and this next one had everyone in the room excited—GrabSalon. Partnering Toni&Guy and L’Oreal, have all your hair care needs done at the comfort of your homes. All you need to do is book the service at least 2 hours in advance and relax.

Another perk that Grab commuters can now do is stream movies, series, and other media through a video tile in the app that is coming this October, care of video-streaming app HOOQ.

You can also book hotels on Agoda and Booking.com through the Grab app. Gold and Silver members can get up to P500 worth of discounts on Agoda as well as access Booking.com’s Genius program with at least 10% off discounts from selected merchants. Grab is also offering a Secret hotel promo this month and is raffling out a 3D2N staycation.

For its mobile wallet and payment solution, GrabPay, Grab has also partnered with PLDT and SM for faster transactions. OFWs can purchase calls from Free Bee to connect to their loved ones. Smart, TNT, and Sun subscribers can also get a 5% discount when purchasing load on the Grab app. You can also go straight to express lanes when shopping at SM when paying via GrabPay.
