The Geely Okavango was launched just a few months ago and people were quick to take notice. Aside from its space and pricing, they pointed out that in the lineup that includes the Coolray and Azkarra, only the Okavango doesn’t have a sunroof.
Well, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), the official distributor of Geely in the Philippines, just launched the Okavango Urban Plus. It’s the new top-trim of the car that’s priced at P1,478,000 or P150k more than the next variant and yes, it now has a sunroof, but it’s more than that.
The new 60-inch panoramic sunroof features a rainfall sensor with automatic shutdown function in case you forget it’s open and rain starts to fall. It also has a 3-layer shading to minimize the heat coming from the sunroof. There’s also a new headlamp called Adaptive Drive Beam Matrix LED. It has 4 modes, self-adjusts for high and low beam, automatic leveler, and adaptive front lighting for steering.
Also in front of the driver is a 12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster that also displays some media info.
“For SGAP, it will all be about moving forward and cautiously beefing up the game this year. We will further reinforce our product line up for this year starting with the introduction of the Okavango Urban Plus variant and a few more updates and another model in the second half of the year,” said Yosuke Nishi, SGAP Executive Vice President.
The Okavango Urban Plus comes with the same 1.5L turbo engine, spacious interior, 7-seats, double-layer console, three-zone climate control with CN95 air filter.
