Geely Motor Philippines Corp. (GMP), the newly formed subsidiary of Geely Automotive International Corporation (GAIC), marked its relaunch with a media event showcasing its 2025 lineup while underscoring its improved operations in the country, signifying Geely’s commitment to the Philippine market and its ambition to recapture the hearts of Filipino car buyers.

A full EV
One of the highlights of the event was the preview of the fully electric Geely EX5, which boasts a bold and dynamic exterior design, highlighted by a sleek, aerodynamic profile that achieves a class-leading drag coefficient of 0.269. Inside, the EX5 offers a luxurious interior, characterized by a minimalist design philosophy and comfortable materials. The spacious cabin is enhanced by flexible seating options and the “Half More” storage concept, providing up to 50 percent more storage capacity than the industry average. To elevate the in-car experience, the EX5 is equipped with the FLYME Auto system and FLYME SOUND, delivering seamless connectivity and an immersive audio experience.
Geely has equipped the EX5 with the latest Short Blade Battery, which offers exceptional safety and durability, having passed rigorous tests under versatile extreme conditions.
Return of market leaders
The popular Coolray and Emgrand have also received significant upgrades to offer enhanced features and improved driving experiences. Wan emphasized the distinctive advantages of each model, showcasing its specs and user applications to cater to the diverse needs of Filipino drivers.
The upgraded Coolray, which features Geely Group’s unique BMA Architecture, boasts one more cylinder for a more powerful 1.5TD four-cylinder engine that delivers 172 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. The Coolray’s exterior showcases a redesigned front grille with Geely’s “energy storm” design, LED headlights, tomahawk-style 18-inch wheels, and a very sporty rear spoiler.
Inside, it offers a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 12.3-inch display screen with Carplay, and a sport electronic shift lever. Additional features include wireless charging, faux suede multifunction seats, and a 540° HD panoramic camera system.
Meanwhile, the 2025 Geely Emgrand sedan is built also on the cutting-edge modular BMA architecture, offering enhanced space, superior comfort, and improved handling stability. The Emgrand is known for its affordable price, spacious and premium interior, and high number of features. Model improvements include an improved 12.3-inch high-definition touchscreen providing essential vehicle information and entertainment with unparalleled clarity, a new 1.5D engine, and a new 6-speed automatic transmission.

During the event, Geely Motor Philippines announced some of their key steps in improving operations in the Philippine market: In a strategic move to minimize downtime for customers and ensure timely access to genuine parts, Geely Motor Philippines opened a new parts center in Cabuyao, Laguna. The 4,700-square-meter facility will enhance after-sales service by streamlining the distribution of genuine Geely parts across the country.
Operating from Monday to Saturday, the center utilizes air express for urgent orders and land or sea transport for regular and stocking orders. The inventory includes a comprehensive range of parts, such as maintenance items, warranty components, body repair and paint parts, lubricants, accessories, merchandise, special service tools, and consumables.
During the launch, Geely also announced the GEELY GO user initiative reflecting Geely’s commitment to providing an exceptional ownership experience. Adhering to Geely’s mission to “create an inclusive mobility ecosystem that exceeds expectations,” the program prioritizes Geely owners by seamlessly connecting resources from sales, after-sales, and brand segments to optimizing the entire vehicle lifecycle experience that covers every mile of driving. Externally, GEELY GO is committed to building a tightly bound global user community based on smartly connected user experience.
Exclusive pre-sale discounts and rewards
In addition to these exciting announcements, Geely has unveiled its new pricing strategy for its refreshed and current models.
Geely also officially kicked off the pre-selling period for the EX5, running from February 12 to March 31. To further encourage early adopters, the first batch of reservations will receive an additional limited-time discount of ₱10,000, reducing the overall SRP by ₱110,000.
Meanwhile, the Coolray and Emgrand models come with their own enticing promotions. Early buyers of the Coolray can enjoy a ₱70,000 discount. On top of that, Geely is offering a special promotion where users can enjoy an even larger discount of ₱90,000 by placing a ₱10,000 deposit before February 28. For the Emgrand, early buyers can take advantage of a ₱40,000 discount, making these offers an excellent opportunity for those eager to experience Geely’s latest models.
To provide more user value to its customers, Geely has launched the Refer and Earn activity program where every time existing users introduce new users to Geely stores before March 31, both parties can receive a maintenance voucher worth ₱2,000. Moreover, if the new user pays a down payment for a new car, this maintenance voucher can be further increased by an additional ₱2,000.
