Free cabin filter upgrade for current owners of Coolray
Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) has announced that all Geely vehicles will roll out their high efficiency filtration system featuring CN95 air cabin filters. This efficiently filters airborne microbial and inert particles. It blocks at least 95 percent of very small particles which are composed of dust, harmful gases, particulate matter (PM) 2.5 particles, droplets with diameters larger than .74 microns which are often attached to corona viruses.
Geely invested around $53 million on this new development. Beyond the automotive industry’s development direction built around electrification, connectivity, intelligence, and shared mobility, Geely has committed itself in developing automobiles that help protect the health of drivers and passengers. This will become one of Geely Auto key long-term development objectives.
In China, Geely was the first Chinese auto manufacturer to have this type of air purification system in its vehicles as certified by German T Ü V Rheinland Group. This move sets a new precedent in the development of safety technologies that goes beyond developing leading crash test results and moves into new dimensions of passenger safety, which includes driver health and well-being.
SGAP President & CEO Mikihisa Takayama said, “The introduction of Geely vehicles with higher efficiency cabin filtration system is just very relevant amid the pandemic that the world is battling against. We want to give our valued customers a better quality of life by producing healthier products. This could give more security to our consumers as we slowly drive our way and adjust to the ‘new normal’ after the Enhanced Community Quarantine.”
“Current Coolray owners also don’t have to worry, as we are going to upgrade their cars with this CN95 filters free of charge. They just have to call our dealer for an appointment after the ECQ is lifted”. Takayama added.
About the CN95 Air Filter
- The filtration efficiency of particles with a diameter of 0.3 μ m is more than 95%, which is the most effective filter medium for pollutants such as smoke, dust, and bacteria. The filtration efficiency of 0.74 μ m droplets adsorbed by XCrown virus reached the level of “N95” mask. It can effectively filter out the PM2.5 particles in the air, with a interception efficiency of 99.9%.
- The carbon CN95 filter has the functions of removing PM2.5, removing odor, sterilization, removing formaldehyde, anti-allergy; at the same time, it can absorb smoke smell and purify smoke particles.
- The antibacterial CN95 has the functions of removing mycete, killing 95% of E.coli and 99% of staphylococcus aureus.
The anti-allergy CN95 can resist the allergens from cats, dogs, pollen, and mites, more than 90% of allergens.
