George R.R. Martin is cruel, cruel man. Kidding. But when it comes to keeping his fans in the dark about when the next installment of A Song of Ice and Fire comes out, the only thing we do know is it isn’t coming out this year. He threw us a bone by releasing a new chapter of The Winds of Winter online that features Sansa Stark.
As you know, these books are the basis for the hit HBO show, Game of Thrones. The show has already caught up with the books and it’ll overtake it soon enough (much to the chagrin of a lot of the fans). Martin is known to take his time with releasing GoT books. The gap between A Feast for Crows and the latest A Dance With Dragons was around six years.
