foodpanda logistics Philippines delivered nine special days of rewards and activities to give kudos to hardworking Ka-panda delivery partners.
The nine-day series of festivities had several activities in store for all Ka-pandas, including an exclusive fuel discount of as low as ₱9 per liter at SeaOil gas stations across the country.
During the height of the fuel hike last year, foodpanda Logistics established tie-ups with several fuel providers offering exclusive discounts to delivery partners, and assisting them in enrolling in the fuel subsidy program of the national government. Knowing that gas is one of the main expenses of partner riders, foodpanda logistics Philippines Operations Manager Ruben Mariano shared that they want to banner the 9-peso-per-liter fuel discount as one of the highlights of the treats for Ka-pandas.
Mariano also expressed high regard for the Ka-pandas, which is why the company aims to help them with their daily grind through various special rewards. He said, “We wanted to recognize the efforts of one of our largest stakeholders, our Ka-pandas.”
With the expansion of the Ka-panda delivery fleet, not only riders, but also bikers, e-scooters, and walkers will enjoy special rewards.
Double the rewards, double the fun
Among the superb rewards and activities offered to Ka-pandas is the Double Bamboo Rewards, where delivery partners earned double the Bamboos for every successful delivery. Mariano explained that Bamboo Rewards is a rewards program where Ka-panda delivery partners can earn points in-app for every completed delivery and redeem them later for various items, such as vouchers, merchandise, electronics, vehicle accessories, and more.
“For the 9-day special celebration, Ka-pandas also got to exchange their Bamboos and convert them to cash,” he added.
Awesome treats & accessory giveaways
In addition to these benefits and incentives, Ka-pandas had the opportunity to join a nationwide raffle with prizes ranging from smartphones, e-bikes, and motorcycles. The fun did not stop there because they also took advantage of the merchandise sale to upgrade to the latest premium Ka-panda gear.
“We believe that these items will help them in their daily livelihood. But all year round, we have partnerships with leading motorcycle dealers nationwide to provide accessible and flexible motorcycle loan options as well as exclusive deals on equipment and accessories for their vehicles.”
9-mazing incentives and bonuses
To show appreciation for the hard work of Ka-panda delivery partners, they received an additional ₱9 for every tip made on the app. Earlier this year, the double tip campaign was launched, where for a day, delivery partners earn twice the amount of tips received from customers on the foodpanda app.
To help them augment their income stream, the company also provides special incentives based on accomplished tasks. They will also be offered exclusive and enticing incentives for successful deliveries as part of the anniversary surprises.
Mariano mentioned that these incentives aim to help delivery partners at this time when prices of basic commodities are rising. “We have been investing in incentives they can get from accomplishing particular milestones or ‘quests, and by ramping it up during this special occasion, we can be of greater assistance to them,” he announced.
Ka-panda Denyo Jovero, from Manila expressed his gratitude to the company for the special treats. “Malaking tulong po ito sa aming mga riders kaya lubos kaming nagpapasalamat (This is a big help to us riders, so we are deeply grateful), ” he shared. “Kahit freelancer lang po kami, parang eto na rin yung bonus na matatanggap namin sa taon na ito kaya nakaka-excite po talaga (Being freelancers, this will serve as our bonus for the year so, we are really excited).”
Ultimately, foodpanda Logistics’ rider celebration hopes to bring smiles to Ka-panda delivery partners nationwide as a thank you for their hard work and dedication. As stated by Mariano, “Our Ka-pandas deserve to be celebrated because they are the heroes who deliver our food and groceries every day. They play a vital role in the online food delivery ecosystem.”
foodpanda logistics also recently visited the areas of Pampanga and Bulacan for their panda Patrol Hub roadshow, where Ka-pandas can experience games and activities, learn more about the support and assistance afforded to them, and provide a support hub for their concerns. “It’s important that we personally hear what our delivery partners have to say and get to see them face to face. This way, we can address their concerns on the spot and make them feel that we truly value the Ka-panda community,” Mariano shared. The roving bus is set to visit more cities and provinces in Luzon this July, and areas in Visayas and Mindanao in the coming months.
