There’s a new kid in town. The record-breaking Flash Plus smartphone is breaking out of its shell into brighter horizons. The newly-minted Flash Philippines is going out all on its own to develop and improve the phone that made waves online. For their first exclusive release, Flash Philippines is bringing out its bestseller’s sequel—the Flash Plus 2.
The new brand seeks to transcend the confines of its metal body with a sleek design that breaks the boundaries between functionality and sophistication. Albeit carrying the same blueprint its predecessor carries, the Flash Plus 2 is boxed in a sleek, metal framework that underwent a series of complex processes, ranging from horizontal wire-drawing, high-speed side sand-blasting, ultralight rim diamond cutting, and twice anodization.
The Flash Plus 2 adapts these technologies to achieve the 0.4mm rim of the Home key, 0.15mm sound volume key, and 0.4mm rim of flash lamp and speaker. Additionally, the Flash Plus 2 carries a package of features that makes its less-than-P10,000 price tag worth every penny.
Fingerprint recognition
Fingerprint technology is something we’ve seen before. What else can we do with our fingertips? The Flash Plus 2 has the answers. The front fingerprint recognition function features 360-degree recognition in only 0.5 seconds. Also, the Flash Plus 2 can assign apps for up to five fingers. Your ring finger can unlock Facebook, for example.
Lights and sounds
The Flash Plus 2 sports an f/2.0 aperture lens. It adopts the integration of PDAF and contrast focusing with merely 0.1s of focal alignment. This enables perfect capturing of high-speed moments. The rear dual color flash lamp RealTone and front LED flash is capable of 324 flash combinations and can take photos in low light conditions.
The camera also sports a Kid mode which plays several animal sounds to attract a child’s attention for a perfect photo.
Besides its strengths in other aspects, the Flash Plus 2 also features HiFi value-retained earphone acoustics, high-volume speaker effects and MIX music editing function for an immersive sound experience.
Entertainment value is likewise optimized by a 5.5-inch FHD screen with a pixel density of 400ppi and MiraVision 2.0.
All that performance
The new smartphone’s Helio P10 processor ensures strong performance and low energy consumption. The processor carries four 1.8GHz cores and four 1.0GHz cores. It also sports an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU chip. The phone will be available in 2GB and 3GB variants. Each variant will also have internal storage capacities of 32GB and 64GB, respectively. Both will be expandable by up to 128GB via a microSD card. They will also have a triple-card slot that supports micro-SIM, nano-SIM, and micro-SD cards at the same time. The Flash Plus 2 is also compatible with 4G and 3G connectivity.
