After making waves with its cold-sensitive, color-changing design at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, the realme 14 Pro Series is set to arrive in the Philippines on March 20, 2025. But beyond its flashy design, what else does the latest Number Series have to offer? Read on to find out.
Design is a great way to attract potential buyers, and personally, I believe the new Pearl White design of the realme 14 Pro 5G will do just that. The color-changing effect, smooth and luxurious feel, and smudge-resistant finish are just bonuses. If you prefer something muted, you can go for the Suede Grey color option.
Even better, the elegant design is paired with nifty features to keep it pristine. It boasts multiple IP ratings—IP69, IP68, IP66, and IP6X—offering comprehensive protection against dust and water.
Up front, you get a 6.77-inch OLED curved display with 120Hz refresh rate and 4500nits peak brightness. While the size only gets a slight size, the screen visibility gets a boost from the previous 2000nits of its predecessor.
For cameras, the realme 14 Pro 5G features a dual-camera setup, led by a 50MP (f/1.8) Sony IMX882 main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). However, instead of the ultrawide camera found in its predecessor, it now includes a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front camera has been downgraded from a 32MP selfie shooter to a 16MP sensor.
On the bright side, the camera offers a host of AI features: AI Clarity 2.0, AI Eraser 2.0, and AI Snap Mode. This will help users achieve their version of an ideal clean shot. We’ll see if the results are refined enough to truly earn the “2.0” badge. It also scores extra points for its underwater mode, perfect for beach explorers like me, as well as its MagicGlow triple flash, which ensures clear shots in any lighting. These are just a few of the many features I’m truly excited to try out.
We’re also expecting a performance boost as the realme 14 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy processor, with clock speeds of up to 2.5GHz. It also features a large Vapor Chamber Cooling System, designed to keep gaming sessions smooth and hitch-free, even during long hours of play without overheating.
The realme 14 Pro 5G offers up to 26GB of total RAM, thanks to its 14GB Dynamic RAM Expansion, along with a generous 256GB of storage.
Another impressive upgrade is the increased battery capacity—not just by a few hundred, but a major leap from last year’s 5,200mAh to this year’s 6,000mAh. It still retains the 45W SuperVOOC charger, though.
Even from my initial use, the new realme 14 Pro 5G is already showing great promise. You don’t just get the usual minor upgrades in the new Number series. realme seems to be going all out this time. Stay tuned for our full review to see if it lives up to the hype.
