Nowadays, it has become a habit to unbox packages, orders, shopped items, and the like. Who doesn’t want a good unboxing, right? Well, my experience was heightened when I was greeted by the stunning, head-turner design of the realme 9 Pro+. It comes in the Aurora Green colorway with a smooth and glossy feel, showcasing rays that gleam (and glow) from every angle. My preference in colorway is normally muted, but I’d make another exception for a striking design such as this one. Given that this is the brand’s slimmest among the Number Series, 7.99mm, it doesn’t come as a surprise that it feels comfortable and handy.
From setting up the phone to downloading apps, it’s all been smooth sailing. Touch response wasn’t bad either. We can say thanks to the complementary forces of its MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G processor and 90Hz Super AMOLED Display. However, running multiple apps and graphically demanding games will be a different story, so in our full review we’ll find out how the realme 9 Pro+ will fare in such cases.
It was enticing finding out that this mid-range smartphone comes with a flagship feature — the Sony IMX766 sensor. Knowing that you have a competent camera to capture every moment regardless of the lighting sure is sweet. And it doesn’t stop there, you can experiment and unleash your creative side with various camera settings at your disposal. I’ve tried the camera to take simple shots and I was pleased with the outcome: sharp images with vibrant colors. In the full review, we will test out the capabilities of the camera for lifestyle and street photography, in both favorable and unfavorable lighting conditions.
