FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. The FedEx gateway facility in Clark features enhanced sorting and storage capabilities, supported by state-of-the-art technology. FedEx recently strengthened its intra-Asia connectivity with the launch of eight new flights from the gateway in Clark to Japan, Singapore, and South Korea, providing customers with direct connections between North Pacific and Southeast Asian markets. Through this enhanced service reliability, FedEx customers in Cebu can now take advantage of a two-hour improvement in their cut-off time, and 24/7 Customs clearance support in Clark.

With the rise of cross border e-commerce, Philippine exports are expected to reach 600 billion pesos by 2030 according to the Philippine Statistics Authority. Cebu has always been one of the major players in the Central Visayas region, exporting various goods such as furniture, food, fashion accessories, toys, shellcraft, garments, etc.

“Cebu is an economic powerhouse in the south and is one of the Philippines’ busiest economic and tourism gateways. FedEx is focused on helping customers tap greater import and export intra-APAC opportunities, and this service enhancement further demonstrates our strong commitment to providing efficient cross-border logistics solutions to Cebu businesses, and support the growing trade to and from the Philippines.,” said Maribeth Espinosa, acting managing director, FedEx Express Philippines.

Customers from the Queen City of the South will also receive the support of dedicated customer service team representatives who can effectively guide them through their shipping experience in their local language. Businesses with heavyweight shipments, weighing 150 lbs. (68 kgs) and more, can also leverage this improved connectivity to better serve their customers with transit time of 1-3 business days.

Reinforcing its commitment to boost the connectivity of local businesses to the rest of the world, FedEx continues to adapt with expanded offerings and tools that support the growth of numerous Filipino SMEs.
