UNIQLO and Vogue Philippines discuss the stories, styles of the 2025 Spring/Summer Linen Collection
UNIQLO breezes through the search for the season’s most comfortable and stylish wear with its 2025 Spring/Summer Linen collection, featuring the “ultimate natural material” in its superior category, UNIQLO Premium Linen. The collection also presents UNIQLO Linen Blend and UNIQLO Cotton Linen.
Designed to be effortlessly stylish and comfortable, UNIQLO Premium Linen presents unique, breathable textures and elegant luster. Termed as the “ultimate natural material,” it is made from European Flax that is grown and cultivated through the long-standing expertise of growers from France, Belgium, and Netherlands. The superior quality of the material allows UNIQLO Premium Linen to let your body breathe by absorbing sweat and drying quickly. Moreover, they give the shirts a crisp touch and a smooth surface through fiber removal. With its smooth finish and subtle elegance, UNIQLO Premium Linen is a versatile staple that can be worn on its own or layered with other pieces, making it an essential for any style, any time of the year.
UNIQLO and Vogue Philippines joined hands to celebrate linen as a fashion staple in a night of insightful conversations about the material’s craftsmanship and versatility. Actress and UNIQLO’s local celebrity partner Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Vogue Philippines fashion director Pam Quiñones, and UNIQLO’s Head of PR and Sustainability Reichelle Vergara engaged in a discussion that delved into the UNIQLO’s linen collection. Staying true to its mission, UNIQLO continues to offer crisp, sophisticated styles for everyday wear, making refined fashion accessible to all.
Curtis-Smith, who juggles a fast-paced career and personal life, emphasized linen’s versatility in her wardrobe. “As an actress, I really have to be versatile. On my off days, I’d prefer relaxed, comfortable pieces. But for events, I love the fact that I can go all out for a premiere or be subtle and minimalist depending on the occasion.” she shared. Quiñones echoed this statement, describing Linen as a fabric that seamlessly blends relaxed silhouettes with structure, making it an essential for those who want to look polished with minimal effort. “Effortless style is about being intentional without looking overdone,” she added.
Aside from Premium Linen, the collection also features UNIQLO Linen Blend and UNIQLO Cotton Linen, offering variations suited to different preferences. The Linen Blend, made from linen and rayon, has a smoother drape with reduced wrinkling, ideal for those seeking a more polished yet relaxed look. Meanwhile, the Cotton Linen, composed of linen and cotton, combines breathability with added structure, creating an easygoing yet refined aesthetic.
Beyond style and function, Linen is also a sustainable choice. Vergara explained that Premium Linen shirts are made from flax certified by the independent European Flax certification body, ensuring quality and traceability. “An important part of the UNIQLO LifeWear philosophy is the production of responsibly sourced, environment friendly pieces. When we make our Premium Linen, we ensure a meticulous level of quality control and a thoughtful manufacturing process. The European Flax is primarily rain-fed except in special cases, uses fertilizers and pesticides responsibly through rotational cropping, and utilizes all parts of the plant to reduce waste,” she added. Curtis-Smith, who values conscious fashion choices, shared that Linen’s longevity and versatility make it an essential in her travels and everyday wardrobe.
