Sony has just launched a set of high-powered audio systems that can not only bring your music to life, but you and all those around you as well with the quality that it boasts. Individually equipped with high-efficiency tweeters for sound expansion, high-efficiency midrange for sound distribution, angled midrange drivers for sound quality and Jet Bass Boosters, these audio systems will deliver sound that will make you experience music like never before. Despite the immense sound power and quality that these speakers possess when used altogether as a complete audio system, they are all amazingly just as capable, excellent and function similarly even when used individually. The sound quality and impact that each speaker as an individual unit has is a testament to just how paramount the class that this Sony audio system has collectively.

The Sony audio system is comprised of a set of 4 high-powered speakers— V13, V43D, V83D and V73D —all with nearly identical features, while some properties are unique to each speaker. In terms of the features that are consistent across all 4 speakers, each one contains high-efficiency tweeters that use horn-type tweeters that are built in in order to expand the sound stage, all while increasing the level of sound pressure upward. This not only generates greater sound all around, but also allows the sound to travel wider, higher and farther distances. All 4 speakers also have a Jet Bass Booster for long distance bass delivery, with a tapered bass reflux duct structure that concentrates the airflow of the bass sound, consequently allowing the listeners to both clearly hear and physically feel the bass. Moreover, if you’re feeling the music so much that you want to sing your heart out, all speakers also have microphone inputs and karaoke settings as well.
Feel like partying? All speakers are also equipped with lights that send waves of multi-colored illumination to add vibrance and energy. And lastly for those guitarists out there, these speakers can also function as an amplifier with 3 different modes: clean for a clear sound, overdrive for a distorted sound, and bass for the bass guitar.
The V13 and V43D
On the other hand, in terms of features and properties unique to each speaker, the V13, which is the smallest of the four, has 2 of the high-efficiency tweeters that are both upward-facing and has 1 microphone input. The V43D likewise has 2 high-efficiency tweeters but, unlike the V13, has high-efficiency midrange that uses mid horn speakers in front to distribute sound with improved clarity and sound pressure for the vital midrange frequencies.
The V43D, V83D and V73D all have DSP technology to create a realistic ambiance similar to that of a music festival or concert, as well as Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) that restores detail to compressed music files to produce high-quality sounds closer to the original recording. As compared to the V13’s 1 microphone input, the other 3 speakers are equipped with 2 inputs for all your duet needs. The 3 also have a convenient and fun gesture control feature, wherein vertical and horizontal hand movements have different controls, from skipping track, changing up from flanger to WAH, turning up the karaoke mic, controlling the pitch and to overall volume control. All 3 speakers are also HDMI compatible for uses outside of playing music for when you want to enjoy the same audio quality when watching TV, enjoying sports or playing video games.
The V73D and V83D
Both the V83D and V73D have nearly identical features aside from the ones mentioned. Instead of 2 high-efficiency tweeters, both of these possess a total of 4 each, with 2 on either side. Both also have omnidirectional party sound as well as omnidirectional party lights for all-around impact regardless of where you or the speaker itself is situated. For more fun and games, these speakers also have TAIKO mode where you can add your own drumming into the mix and even play with friends to test your rhythm with the TAIKO Game Mode. If you might happen to party too hard and accidentally spill your drink on either of the speakers, they are thankfully splash-proof and even have a Party Lock feature that disables the buttons for 30 seconds while you clean up the mess and get back to jamming out.
With the seemingly endless features that this Sony audio system has to offer, you might think that working around all of it will be complicated, overwhelming and a hassle. However, Sony could not have made it any simpler in terms of enjoying these functions smoothly and problem-free with practically everything digital and wireless. With the Music Center app, you can easily synchronize all your speakers together for seamless and collective playing. Furthermore, you can also control your music’s volume and settings for each speaker individually through the app as well. Essentially, all you need to do is plug your speakers into a power source and immediately enjoy everything that comes with it.
Personally, I was able to enjoy the Sony audio system in my backyard where many activities occur in my house these days. The problem I encountered with my previous speakers was that they weren’t powerful enough both volume and quality-wise that it would always get drowned out by the noise from the busy street immediately opposite our back wall. Now, however, from swimming in the pool, playing board games with cousins, family dinners, to letting my dogs roam the backyard, having the entire audio system has fortunately made regular activities more entertaining and amusing with incredible music. Although I might not be able to invite a bunch of friends over yet to enjoy a good old party, its been a pleasant surprise to see my mom and titas groove to the music and lights as if they were back in the 80s.
Although we may not be able to have large gatherings with the ongoing pandemic, these speakers are more than enjoyable and appreciated with the sheer quality of music and the many additional innovative functions they have. Whether listening to music on a rainy afternoon, having karaoke battles with your siblings, lounging by the pool or watching the NBA Playoffs, these speakers will more than enhance the overall experience of each and every activity.
