Disney Interactive and Marvel are bringing some of your favorite heroes to the popular Disney Infinity franchise with Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 edition) game. The Avalanche Software-developed game infuses original Play Set storylines written with the help of Marvel comic writer Brian Michael Bendis.
You get to complete challenging missions and puzzles with over 20 Marvel characters including Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Groot, Gamora, and Spider-Man, to name a few. The three new Play Sets you can choose from include The Avengers, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Or if you are into world building, Toy Box 2.0 makes it easier to create and share levels and games you’ve created. Those who are into Minecraft would definitely find the Toy Box to be quite entertaining. There are also franchised-themed Toy Box Games that lets you customize the game on Toy Box and then play them using your Disney Infinity character of choice.
The Disney Infinity figures, toys, and power discs you own are compatible with this new game with your stats and upgrades intact. The level cap for characters are up to 20 and skills can be allocated across a variety of attributes using the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes skill tree.
The starter pack for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 edition) comes with 2.0 game software, Disney Infinity 2.0 Base, Marvel’s The Avengers Play Set with three character figures (Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow), web code card, two Toy Box Game discs, and Toy Box 2.0.
When asked about what Disney characters you will be able to play with in the future in Disney Infinity, Disney Interactive Senior Producer Mike Schneider said you can expect to see Hiro and Baymax (from the upcoming Big Hero 6 movie), Maleficent, Aladdin and Jasmine, Donald Duck, Tinker Bell, Merida, and Stitch.
