Citi Philippines leads in FinTech with new PayAll App

A first in the Philippine market, Citi Philippines today launched Citi PayAll, which allows Citi cardholders to pay for transactions that are commonly paid with cash or check with their credit cards. Things like rent, school tuition fees, condominium dues, and other payments can now easily be paid for in the PayAll app; plus, card holders can get rewards for it, too. While there are other platforms offering nearly the same service, Citi Philippines is confident in their digitalized solution that can give their customers added value that comes in rewards like points or miles, and the flexibility of payment.

Citi Philippines Consumer Banking Head, Manoj Varma explains that Citi PayAll is not meant to replace debit cards, cash, or checks. Instead, he says that the service is an enhanced feature that gives one the ability to leverage the payment line in one’s card.

The PayAll app itself is very simple and straightforward to use. All one has to do is to choose the purpose of payment, enter the payee’s bank account name, destination bank, and payee bank account number. For added convenience, payments for recurring dues can also be scheduled as single or monthly recurring for up to a year, at least seven days prior to the due date. This allows one to easily manage transactions on their mobile, anywhere. There is a maximum limit of P200,000 per transaction as well as a transaction fee of up to 3%. Citi credit card holders can make up to six transactions a month with up to P1,000,000 aggregate amount. They can also settle payments with the same payee in twice a month.

Citi assures that every transaction is safe and fast with three layers of security, which include a local password for the app itself, a one-time pin when making the transaction, and an alert that will be sent to one’s mobile when a transaction is being processed. Additionally, users can also cancel a transaction at least a day before the payment is cleared (this takes around 2 banking days).

Citi PayAll currently offers 24,000 never-expiring miles for Citi PremierMiles credit card holders who use their card to pay for rent or tuition fees amounting to at least P60,000 per month. Citi credit card holders can also enjoy up to P1,800 in electronic gifts per calendar month when they make six (6) unique Citi PayAll transactions until April 30,2020.

Citi plans to bring more digital solutions to their customers in the near future, promising to expand the capabilities of not only Citi PayAll but also the bank’s other business units and bring the best value to their customers.
