Chery sweetens the customer experience with EC Mobile Program

United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), the official distributor of Chery vehicles in the Philippines, strengthens its after-sales service capability and reach with the Chery EC Mobile Service Program.

This will allow official authorized mechanics using specialized Chery tools and genuine parts to provide quality service to a growing number of customers. “In this time of distancing when staying home is the safest course of action, we want to make it easier and safer for our customers to have their Chery vehicles serviced,” said UAAGI president Rommel Sytin. “This is why we have embarked on a project to bring us closer to our customers with our new Chery EC Mobile Service.”

The EC Mobile Program employs a Gratour MPV fitted with a customized body accommodating a service office equipped with essential tools to be able to perform Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS) plus other minor to major mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing. 

These services can be performed through the use of special equipment including a 1.0-kilowatt inverter set used to supply electric power to tools, such as the 750w grinder and 850w electric drill. Included in the tool set is a battery-operated impact wrench used to change tires and perform other mechanical work, 2 large capacity oil pans to avoid spilling of used oil which are then transferred to the built-in used oil depository tanks when performing PMS, a creeper for the technician to comfortably perform underchassis work, and a variety of essential and precision hand tools. 

It is also equipped with diagnostic equipment such as the Midtronics Battery tester to check battery health condition. This tester can provide a printout of the state of health and voltage reading for the customer’s record of battery condition. For engine diagnostic needs, the unit is armed with oil, compression, and fuel pressure gauges. The mobile unit also includes advanced equipment such as a multi-function car Emergency Jumpstarter Battery, (used to jumpstart and to charge USB equipment or gadgets) and a Power Probe 4 Master Kit for tracing disconnected electrical circuits without the need to dismantle the wire harness. 

Servicing of the vehicle’s airconditioning system is also possible with the aircon manifold gauge. Completely self-sufficient, the mobile van is a veritable service center on wheels which can go anywhere the Chery customers are.

For individual dealerships, the Chery EC Mobile Service Program effectively extends their service range. “We believe that people needn’t be inconvenienced unnecessarily by having to bring their Chery vehicles to the shop for preventive maintenance work or repair,” added Sytin. “And this opens doors for our dealers as well to realize even greater business by freeing up workshop space at the dealerships themselves.”

The EC Mobile van also boasts of two sets of 220-volt outlets and anti-skid flooring. Mechanics can perform repairs even at night with the supplied spotlights.

“For now, only select Chery dealerships are exclusively offering this new aftersales service, but the motoring public can expect that the EC Mobile Service will be available at the rest of our dealership network across the country soon,” added Sytin. 

This innovation is expected to be of particular benefit to fleet customers who now only need to identify a dedicated servicing day when the service truck and its crew can go to their location. This promises less downtime for the trucks – a key advantage in business operations. Even passenger vehicle owners can leverage the service.

This comes after the introduction of another aftersales program, the EC (Easy and Convenient) Genuine Parts where customers may inquire and order accurate parts for their Chery vehicle through a hotline number (0917-592-4379). This will keep the customers from worrying about the authenticity and availability of the parts in its total ownership experience, whether within the warranty or post-warranty period.

The key unique selling points of the EC Genuine Parts program are first, the accessibility of getting in touch with a representative and having parts inquiries answered via call or SMS. Second is the accuracy of finding the right parts with varied and extensive search options and lastly, the ease of having the parts claimed at the nearest Chery dealership in their location.

“We are confident that these services will help both our dealer-partners and our customers by positively enhancing their Chery brand experience. The EC Mobile Service Program underscores a commitment we’ve made since the beginning of our operations here – one of constant improvement in the quality of our customer service,” concluded Sytin.

Another useful tool in this time of pandemic is the recently launched Chery Auto PH App. The new app is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android smartphones, with an iOS version for iPhones to follow soon.

The Chery Auto PH app will function as a digital showroom where customers can check out Chery’s vehicle models and their specs, see the list of all Chery dealerships nationwide, request and schedule a test drive, book an appointment for car maintenance and repair, order spare parts, inquire about specific Chery models, and request for a quotation for the Chery model they are interested in.

The Chery Auto PH App also has a rewards program where users earn points for using the app to purchase a vehicle, refer a friend and schedule a service. The app is useful for Chery and non-Chery owners alike and is a very useful tool for a satisfying Chery ownership experience.

Chery Auto Philippines currently markets four crossover models: the subcompact Tiggo 2 and Tiggo 5X, the compact Tiggo 7, and the midsize 7-seater Tiggo 8. All have 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve EFI VVT Euro 5-compliant engines (turbocharged for the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8) and have automatic transmissions on all models (MT available on the Tiggo 2 and Tiggo 5X).
