Chery Auto Philippines last week turned over to Philippine gymnastics athlete Carlos Yulo a brand new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro SUV, following his historic double gold medal win at the recently concluded 2024 Paris Olympics.
Aside from the brand new Tiggo 7 Pro, the crossover specialist also threw in for the Olympian a lifetime FREE oil change and vehicle safety checkup, over and above the standard 3-year FREE PMS, 3-year FREE roadside assistance, 5-year or 150k-km (whichever comes first) bumper to bumper warranty, and 10-year engine warranty for the Tiggo 7 Pro.
Present during the turnover of the silver Chery Tiggo 7 Pro were officials from Chery Auto distributor United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) led by UAAGI Chairman Rommel Sytin, Group Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin, and UAAGI Chief Marketing Executive and Senior Vice President Lyn Buena as well as Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino and Gymnastics Association of the Philippines President Cynthia Carrion.
The compact Chery Tiggo 7 Pro measures 4,500 millimeters long; 1,842 mm wide; and 1,746 mm tall with a 2,670-mm wheelbase. It features a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a load-bearing roof rail.
Inside the spacious cabin are two digital displays (with the infotainment system mated to a six-speaker setup), power adjustable front seats, tilt-and-telescope steering wheel, and dual-zone air-conditioning system.
The Tiggo 7 Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 143 horsepower and 210 Newton-meters of torque. It is mated to a continuous variable transmission (CVT) and has a towing capacity of up to 1,500 liters..
It rides on front Macpherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent with disc brakes on all four wheels. The Tiggo 7 Pro is equipped with ABS, N95 air cabin filter, six airbags, cruise control and speed limiter, electronic child safety lock, and hill descent control.
