It was yet another exciting night for professional and photography enthusiasts alike as Canon introduced a new addition to its popular EOS 5D series—the EOS 5D Mark IV. Experts from Ori Media from the United States joined the much anticipated launch in the Philippines to showcase the limitless possibilities of the new weapon of choice for wedding, fashion, landscape, and portrait photography.
The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV offers professional photographers and filmmakers stellar performance and speed to deliver captivating narratives in both still and video formats. It extends the legacy of the 5D series with improvements on key features found in the popular EOS 5D Mark III, and best-in-class technology and features found in professional EOS models like the EOS 1D X Mark II. Equipped with a 30.4-megapixel full-frame high-sensitivity sensor and Dual Pixel CMOS AF for rapid focusing speed, the EOS 5D Mark IV delivers exceptional performance in both stills and 4K video shooting. New features such as support for Dual Pixel Raw (DPRAW) format and 4K frame grabs will empower photographers with greater control when creating and capturing their shots.
Michael Ori, the founder of Ori Media and Studio Elevn in Salt Lake City, Utah, was recently in the country with Digital Imaging Technician Joey Jonaitis to demonstrate the capabilities of the new EOS 5D Mark IV and how the wide array of Canon products has helped his boutique creative agency grow significantly.
“Canon evolves together with the needs of its users. With every product that we launch, just like this very powerful EOS 5D Mark IV, we keep in mind how it will fuel every individual’s passion and success through the power of vivid images and motion,” said Vinchy Sanchez, Director for Consumer Group of Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc.
In a special talk, Michael and Joey gave attendees a first look at Ori Media’s latest fashion narrative “Solemn Oath” shot entirely with EOS 5D Mark IV. The video was not only a representation of the camera’s capabilities, but also an insight into their creative ingenuity. They also showcased through a live demo the technical features of the camera that can be used in different scenarios for wedding, fashion, landscape and portrait photography, and some techniques in pulling high-res stills from motion so all these can benefit anyone who is in the photo and video production business.
Alongside the launch of the EOS 5D Mark IV was the announcement of the availability of the new EF16-35mm f/2.8L III USM, a highly anticipated lens by professional photographers and photography enthusiasts alike. Imbued with advanced imaging technology and superior build quality, the EF16-35MM f/2.8L III USM is able to attain outstanding image quality and ensure durability for high levels of performance even in challenging environments.
