Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), closed 2023 with numerous milestones which includes opening several Caltex service stations and branded workshops across the country and sealing successful institutional partnerships.

Caltex continued to expand its network in the Philippines in 2023 with 37 new service stations, some of which highlighted the company’s efforts to establish new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.

In NCR, a Caltex station was opened at J.W. Diokno Boulevard, Pasay. This station marks the third retailer-owned, retailer-operated (RORO) flagship station in Aseana City. Caltex also opened four new stations in various strategic locations across Metro Manila, specifically, in Quezon City, Taguig City, and Pasig City.

In Southern Luzon, another RORO Caltex station opened within a township project located in Turbina, Calamba, Laguna. Three other Caltex stations also opened to service this fast-growing region.

In Northern Luzon, Caltex built two new service stations in Ilocos Sur, a province which is home to many natural and historical sites, to serve tourists and residents alike. In Central Luzon, a total of three new Caltex stations also rose — two in Pampanga (the culinary capital of the Philippines), and another in Bustos, Bulacan to serve motorists plying the highways of Bulacan.

In Palawan, local and foreign tourists alike and residents traveling to Coron may drop by the new Caltex station in the area for their vehicle fueling needs during personal or family trips this 2024.

In Western Visayas, Caltex further broadened its network of service stations starting with four stations in Iloilo City, famous for its Dinagyang Festival and its sweet-natured locals.  Caltex also opened a new site in another Landers Superstore outlet in Bacolod City.

Caltex also spread its network in Central Visayas with four new stations serving Bohol, Toledo City, and Cebu City. In Eastern Visayas, Samar and Leyte are now hosts to new Caltex stations each.

Caltex was also able to increase its presence and serve its market better in Mindanao through the opening of new retail sites in the region. A new Caltex station was opened along the busy street of National Highway Puerto in Cagayan de Oro. Three other stations were built in the Davao region.

“We understand the growing needs of our valued customers. These expansion initiatives are a testament to our dedication to deliver seamless access to high-quality fuels and a comprehensive range of services. By investing in the development of these modern facilities, we aim to contribute not only to the nation’s economic growth but also to the satisfaction of the motorists we serve,” CPI Country Chairman Mr. Billy Liu shared.

Fast-growing branded workshop network

Besides expanding its retail stations nationwide, Caltex broadened its network of branded auto and motorcycle workshops last year by opening 82 Caltex Havoline autoPro, Caltex Havoline bikePro, and Caltex Delo Sport oil change workshops. These offer a complete range of high-quality oils and lubricants and reliable vehicle maintenance services provided by their well-trained mechanics.

“We strive to continually grow our branded workshop network to better serve four-wheel and two-wheel customers. These workshops will elevate the overall customer experience of our patrons and make our services accessible to more locations in the Philippines,” Liu added.

Promos serve motorists even better

With a year filled with milestones and successes, Caltex sponsored multiple promos to give back to loyal customers.

In April, the brand kicked off its 2023 Pickup Your Rewards promo, a nationwide raffle that ran from April 18, 2023 to July 17, 2023. A total of 400 winners earned 250,000 Caltex Rewards Points and three lucky participants each took home a fully fueled Ford Ranger Sport.

The fun did not stop there. From September to December 2023, Caltex, through its Caltex Rewards program, gave away early Christmas gifts through its Linggo-Linggo Gadget Panalo Promo. Caltex Rewards customers can still sign up via the CaltexGO app where motorists can earn points and redeem a plethora of rewards made for them whenever they visit a Caltex service station.

“We believe in fostering meaningful relationships with the Filipino motorists that we serve. Through these initiatives, we endeavor not only to strengthen the relationships we have built throughout the years but also to consistently drive a positive impact on the lives of those who supported our brand. Caltex will continue its commitment to enhance the journey of every motorist and remain steadfast in giving back to our loyal customers,” Liu said.

Forging partnerships and underscoring social investments

Chevron renewed its fuel supply contract with Global Business Power Corporation (GBP) in a signing ceremony last year. This recommencement enabled Chevron to continue supplying the fuel needed by GBP’s seven plant facilities located in Cebu and Iloilo.

Chevron also teamed up with Goodyear Philippines to provide Caltex StarCard users with discounts on their purchase of select Goodyear tires. This is in addition to the benefits of the card payment service accessible from any Caltex stations nationwide.

Chevron likewise partnered with different organizations and undertook social investment (SI) activities aligned with the company’s dedication to health, education, safety, and the environment.

CPI partnered with Edukasyon.ph on its first SI in the digital sphere. The project provided cloud computing training and employment support to 40 qualified disadvantaged Amazon Web Services (AWS) scholars through the AWS re/Start program.

Another major SI effort of Chevron was the solar panels donation to Tahanang Walang Hagdanan Inc., a nonprofit and nongovernment organization that provides training and various programs for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

“We are grateful for the invaluable support our partners entrusted to us this past year as it enabled us to pursue our initiatives, even achieve new heights with these undertakings. The partnerships we established and reinforced and the social investment efforts we conducted reflect our resolute drive to foster community engagement while underscoring sustainability, growth and innovation. We look forward to more exciting undertakings and to continue to expand and meet the country’s ever-growing demand for affordable, reliable, and quality fuels and services at the same time help create a brighter future for Filipinos,” Liu commented.
