The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) hosted the BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race 2024, the country’s first corporate running event, which offered an exciting and healthy bonding activity for employees across the business community. This event is part of the bank’s activities to celebrate its Sustainability Awareness Month.
The BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race 2024, organized in partnership with race organizer Runrio, builds on the success of last year’s #BestLifeRun by expanding its reach and inclusivity. The event, which took place along Ayala Avenue in Makati City, brought 4,000 participants from almost 300 companies and organizations for a day of health, weallness, and camaraderie.
“The success of the BPI #BestLifeRun is a testament to the collective efforts of our corporate community. The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm we witnessed today highlight the importance of advocating workplace health and wellness, which is essential for the well-being and and productivity of all employees,” said Gina Eala, BPI Chief Human Resources Officer. “We are grateful to everyone who participated and supported this initiative.”
The race featured two open categories: 5km and 10km, accommodating runners of all levels. Starting from Ayala Triangle Gardens and winding through Makati’s business district, the event provided a scenic and invigorating route for participants. Runners donned company-branded shirts, showcasing their team spirit and corporate pride.
All registered participants received a loot bag and a bib number with a chip, while finishers of the 5km and 10km categories received a finisher shirt as a memento of their achievement.
