BMW launches segment-first digital showroom, longer 5-year/200k-km warranty, new models

BMW has announced a slew of innovative new programs and exciting new models aimed to help address prevailing issues in the pandemic-induced new normal as well as provide better services and experiences for customers.

New 5-Year/200,000km warranty 

Starting June 1, all brand-new BMWs sold by SMC ACDC dealers will be adopting  a longer 5-year/200,000km warranty. This new segment-leading warranty is transferrable and covers all mechanical and electrical components, except preventive maintenance or wear and tear items. 

BMW Service Inclusive prepaid PMS

BMW is also reintroducing BMW Service Inclusive(BSI). BSI allows customers to purchase packages that will cover the preventive maintenance costs of their new brand-new BMW for a period of five years or 60,000 kilometers. This includes oil and oil filter changes, replacement of spark plugs, brake fluid, and a service check. Customers may also avail of packages with higher mileage limits up to five-years or 100,000 kilometers to accommodate more frequent use. Only Original BMW Parts are used, and BSI can also be transferred to the next owner, increasing the resale value of the car. 

BMW Digital Showroom 

With safety as a number one concern, and with the effects of COVID-19 and the increased awareness in hygiene and health precautions, BMW has introduced the BMW Digital Showroom. As part of BMW’s aim to increase its digital footprint and develop community engagement with existing and aspiring owners, the BMW Digital Showroom serves as a convenient portal to learn more about BMW vehicles, special offers, and to keep up-to-date on key information about the brand. Vehicle models, specifications, brochures, and pricing are easily accessible via the BMW Digital Showroom. This also serves as a jumping point, connecting visitors to their closest dealers for a private viewing or even a home-based test drive. New BMW 520i Sport, X3 xDrive20d Business, and Z4 M40i Frozen Edition 

Three new variants of popular models in the product portfolio are now available across local BMW showrooms. 

First in the roster is the BMW 520i Sport, which features new exterior design elements and new 19-inch wheels. The 520i Sport also comes with standard Apple CarPlay. It’s powered by the familiar 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 184hp and 290Nm of torque. The BMW 520i Sport is priced at Php4,290,000. 

The BMW X3 xDrive20d Business is also added to the exciting line-up of the brand. Featuring new exterior trim and design elements, the X3 xDrive20d Business is also equipped with Apple CarPlay and is powered by 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel engine that generates 190hp and 400Nm of torque. The BMW X3 xDrive20d Business retails at Php3,990,000. 

BMW is also introducing a limited edition trim for the popular BMW Z4. Following up on the success of the all-new BMW Z4 when it was introduced in the country in June last year, the Z4 M40i Frozen Edition introduces a new level of performance and exclusivity. Only five units of the Z4 M40i Frozen Edition will be sold in the Philippines, and each of them features Frozen Grey II paintwork from BMW Individual. The 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder gasoline engine has also been updated to pump out a stunning 387hp and 500Nm of torque – 47 more horsepower than the regular Z4 M40i. The BMW Z4 M40i Frozen Edition is priced at Php5,990,000.
