There will be another standalone Batman film and not only does Ben Affleck star in it, he’ll be the one directing it, too. WB Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed during a CinemaCon panel in Las Vegas on Tuesday that they were “excited” to be working with Affleck on a standalone Batman flick.
Rumors have been going around that there will be a solo Affleck-led Batman film since July. It’s been said he was working with DC’s Geoff Johns, who oversees most of the company’s slate including films and TV shows, on the script.
There are no specifics yet about cast, production, and when it will even hit theaters. But it doesn’t come as a surprise he wants to direct the film, the actor has shown his chops when it comes to directing. His film Argo recently won Best Picture at the Oscars.
