That cherished Atari gaming console you bring out every now and then can finally be put away or be put up on display as the Atari Vault collection will make its way to us soon.
Atari will be previewing Atari Vault at PAX South 2016 in Texas from January 29 to 31. The collection has 100 “iconic” Atari favorites like Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Tempest, and Warlords, to name a few. And yes, it comes with the games’ original ’70s and ’80s soundtracks.
These games get updated with new user interface, online and local multiplayer options, and Steam Controller support. Aside from that, you can indulge in your competitive side and challenge players on the Steam Leaderboards. Code Mystics is currently developing the collection, which is said to be launching in the Spring of 2016.
