ASUS has recently announced ASUSPRO P5440, a lightweight business laptop with high-performance dual storage options designed to enhance on-the-go productivity.
The P5440 inherits the DNA of the ASUSPRO B9440, offering performance combined with magnesium-alloy construction, and proven military-grade reliability.
The configuration comes with a 512GB SATA3 M.2 SSD that offers data-transfer performance with the option to expand to a high storage capacity. For productivity, P5440 is powered by the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processors with 8GB onboard RAM upgradeable up to 16GB, as well as a discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX130 graphics.
Designed to offer the ultimate mobile productivity for business professionals, P5440 features a full set of I/O ports for peripherals and a 10-hour battery life for full-working-day autonomy.
The P5440 matches up to those with fast-paced business life, offering mobility with dual-storage options to supercharge productivity. It can be configured to an M.2 512GB SATA3 SSD, providing a combination of superfast read/write speeds and high-capacity file storage.
Constructed from lightweight magnesium alloy—an advanced material that’s incredibly rigid but 30% lighter than standard aluminum alloy—P5440 measures just 1.85cm thin and weighs only 1.22kg.
The P5440 is powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB DDR4 memory, with high- performance NVIDIA GeForce MX130 discrete graphics.
For versatility when traveling or in the office, P5440 includes a full complement of I/O ports for connectivity, including the USB 3.1 Type-C (USB-C) port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, HDMI for easy connections to projectors and TVs, an SD card reader, and two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports.
Users can connect up to two additional 4K UHD displays via the HDMI and USB-C ports (using the optional USB-C to VGA adapter) for an extended visual work space. Other optional business accessories are available, including a USB Type-A to RJ45 LAN adapter and the SimPro Dock that adds even more ports for desktop-grade connectivity.
To reduce the time spent tied to power outlets; P5440 is equipped with a 50Wh lithium-polymer battery that delivers up to 10 hours battery life.
P5440 has an ergonomic backlit keyboard, with a design based on that of the flagship ASUSPRO B9440 laptop. It offers a typing experience with a full-size 19.05mm key pitch, 1.5mm key travel and 0.15mm-dished keys to ensure responsive tactile feedback for more accurate typing. To protect against minor liquid accidents, it’s also spill-resistant.
The 4-inch FHD display features a slim-bezel design that minimizes the footprint of P5440, making it comparable in size to many conventional 13-inch laptops. An anti-glare coating reduces unwanted reflections to ensure clear viewing in bright conditions, and the 180° lay-flat hinge allows versatile use in any environment.
P5440 offers businesses proven ASUSPRO reliability and durability. It has passed eight military-grade reliability tests based on the demanding MIL-STD-810G specification, as well as being subjected to industry-leading ASUS torture tests.
