Imagine how crazy life would be if you owned a P300,000 laptop. Leaving the house would be a daunting proposition. Let’s face it: who would want to leave the house and stop using a P300,000 for even just a couple of hours? This hefty, hefty price tag is the cost of ASUS’s new ROG laptop—the ROG GX800, which was recently launched to the Philippine market.
The ROG GX800 boasts the top-of-the-line specs in modern portable gaming and a silent Hydro Overclocking System. It comes with an Intel Kaby Lake processor, an unlocked Intel Core-i7-7820HK quad-core chip. On the graphics side, it has two NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080 SLI cards. Because of its immense power, the GX800 is also fully VR-capable.
The 18-inch ROG GX800 is the world’s first gaming laptop to provide real 4K UHD gameplay with NVIDIA G-SYNC Technology. Double the GPUs means double the framerate. Coupled with the Hydro Cooling System, the GX800 provides a seamless 4K UHD gaming experience even on ultra settings.
As mentioned above, the included Hydro Cooling system is silent but deadly. It can push the 2.7GHz Intel chip to performances of up to 4.4GHz. Meanwhile, the graphics cards can be overclocked to 1,961MHz while the VRAM and DRAM can reach up to 5,200MHz and 2,800MHz, respectively.
The thin MechTAG mechanical keyboard sports RGB LED and anti-ghosting technology for each key (allowing 30 keys to be pressed simultaneously). It provides mechanical switches with a positive clicking action and a 2.5mm of key travel for solid and responsive keystrokes.
Aside from the Hydro Cooling System, the notebook also comes with a bundled backpack and a specially-designed ROG Command Case with foam lines for use during rougher transports.
The ASUS ROG GX800 has a price tag of P369,995. Buyers have the option of picking their beauty up from four different ROG Concept Stores: SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM Mall of Asia, and SM City Cebu.
