Alexander Grenz, President and CEO of Allianz PNB Life, wins CEO of the Year in this year’s InsuranceAsia News Awards for Excellence 2021.
The InsuranceAsia News Awards for Excellence recognizes the region’s most valuable talents and firms. It is organized by InsuranceAsia News, a primary resource for accurate, insightful, and reliable coverage on Asia’s Insurance market.
“It is a great honour to be recognized as CEO of the Year. I accept this award on behalf of my dedicated and hardworking colleagues who persevered and achieved a great deal in 2020,” said Grenz.
The insurer was the fastest growing life insurance company in the Philippines for the last two years, having continuously enhanced its propositions and services to address customer needs and accelerated its digital roadmap. Grenz remarked that there was an increase in protection and health awareness among Filipinos and it was important to meet such demand by making it easy for potential clients to avail of their solutions, and for existing customers to engage with them on-line.
Complementing Allianz PNB Life’s growth story is its focus on staff safety, wellness, and productivity. The insurer responded to the pandemic by introducing a work well pact, granting utility subsidies, and introducing various wellness initiatives to support its workforce. “Our new Ways of Working are the result of placing the physical and mental welfare of our colleagues at the forefront,” added Grenz.
Lastly, Grenz furthered Allianz’s global commitment to sustainability in the Philippines. The organization has won CSR and Brand-related awards for its Allianz Ride Safe initiative in pursuit of sustainable mobility, and for its “No Filter” campaign to bring about awareness for ESG causes. The company will pursue more advocacies in 2022 including youth empowerment, financial inclusion, and sustainable product development to grant its Life Changers and customers more opportunities to take part.
“Thank you for recognizing our efforts and giving us further inspiration to remain steadfast on our purpose to secure the future of Filipinos through simple, fair, and sustainable solutions,” Grenz concluded.
