Here’s one from the rumor mill. Xiaomi, the world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer, might be working on an action camera to rival GoPro. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is said to be working with a company in Shanghai for this camera.
It is believed to be equipped with a 138-degree wide angle lens. It can take 30 FPS 4K video at a resolution of 1080p. Data storage is through microSD, up to 128GB. There are no photos of the device or any details of any app integration.
The ‘Xiaomi Camera’ is rumored to cost 999 Chinese Yuan, or roughly P7,333. As is characteristic with Xiaomi, the ‘Camera’ is more affordable than its GoPro counterparts, only slightly more expensive than the entry-level GoPro camera. Its release (or at least, launch) should be in December.
