This classic 60s-inspired dive watch marries period appeal with a stunning blend of the art and science of modern watchmaking. While earlier models of the Sixty-Five Chronograph were larger (up to 43mm), the new version sports a 40mm stainless-steel case, endowing it with a more wearable, more versatile size that broadens its appeal and further enhances its vintage charm.
The Sixty-Five Chronograph sports styling cues of a proper retro dive watch: domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, unidirectional bezel with aluminum insert and 60-minute scale, and pump-style chronograph pushers. The screw-down crown and caseback give the watch water-resistance rated to 100m/10 bar.
Much of its charm stems from the classic and much loved panda design of its twin subdials—a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and running seconds at 9 o’clock. The vIsual piece de resistance, however, must be the striking Ocean Green of the subdials and bezel, which at first glance looks black, but with the very subtle green hue revealing itself depending on the angle of the light. Beautiful. Applied indices and hands feature Super-LumiNova for excellent low-light legibility.
The watch runs on Oris Calibre 771, with a power reserve of 62 hours. It’s a timepiece that will feel at home underwater, in the city, or at the office. Watch lovers will appreciate the tactile feel of this mechanical chronograph—domed crystal, classic pushers—and its unmistakable vintage soul.
