Over the years, TAG Heuer has released several gorgeous ladies’ timepieces. We’ve curated our favorites for every mood and style.
1. Link Lady (2017)
The Link Lady comes in several styles, one of which is a bold, goth-y black ceramic number, which comes later on in this list, along with a diamond-studded piece which also deserves a special mention. Easily recognizable with its signature S-shaped links. Its design dates back to 1987, but inside it is fitted with all the modern works.
The 2017 Link Lady is the Swiss watchmaker’s most classically feminine piece that features a 32mm steel case with subtle edges that put it in between round and cushion. The revamped timepiece’s bracelet is fully integrated into the case, whose horns have been removed. The bracelet still holds the Link’s curved profile, and the finishes are even more sophisticated: the entire contour of the S radiates a highly polished shine, while the upper surface of each link is fully brushed.
The fixed bezel is a bold presence, with a large polished bevel and an offset ring that may be either satin-finished or set with diamonds. But the focal point of this piece is the dial which comes in a luminescent mother of pearl delicately coated in pink lacquer or a navy blue sunray finish. Powered by a quartz movement, it features a date window at 3 o’clock, and polished faceted indices or round-cut diamonds.
2. Link Lady (Diamond 41mm)
This Link piece sparkles—quite literally—as it’s covered in diamonds. And as the saying goes: “a diamond is a girl’s best friend.” So it does deserve a separate number from its sister. It features a larger 41 mm case with a blue mother of pearl open dial, which is set with 12 diamonds while the bezel combines two designs: a cushion base and an overlaid ring, on which are set 54 diamonds. But wait, there’s more. The first three rows of its stainless steel bracelet are also set with diamonds.
It houses an automatic Calibre 5 movement visible through a sapphire case-back. If you’d prefer a more subtle (just slightly less sparkly, that is), it is also available in a version with a blue sunray dial in which only the bezel is set with diamonds.
3. Link Lady (Autumn 2016)
This Link Lady piece is refreshingly bold and contemporary. The Autumn 2016 special collection holds the first timepiece in the Link family to be made entirely of ceramic. There are steel options available, too, but we’ll focus on the black ceramic one.
It sports the same 32mm case and integrated bracelet as the first two Link pieces. You can also choose from either a polished or matte finish, depending on the style you’re going for. Oh, and did I mention that its bezel is also diamond studded? All of the dials are in mother-of-pearl and the ceramic black variant holds an equally dark dial. Powered by a quartz movement, it holds a date window at 3 o’clock and polished faceted indices complete the look.
4. Carrera Lady (2019)
Perhaps the Carrera line is most known for its sporty, racing heritage with timepieces built for speed. But the recently revamped Carrera Lady collection is just as much significant as it symbolizes the modern woman—strong, elegant, and sophisticated.
The revamped collection features 36mm cases and features bold colors, paired with automatic or quartz movements. Its dials come in variants of white mother-of-pearl, purple, blue, grey, and black. A second scale is printed on the flange around the dial and is surrounded by a smooth or diamond-set bezel. A trapezoidal date window at 3 o’clock also sets the refreshed models apart from its predecessors. It is finished with choices of a stainless-steel bracelet, quilted calfskin, or alligator leather strap with a satin finish in purple, taupe, or grey for the alligator leather and black and blue for the calfskin straps.
5. Aquaracer Lady Calibre 9 Automatic
For the mermaids in disguise, the Aquaracer Calibre 9 automatic is the ideal accessory. Water resistant to 300 metres, this sporty watch displays the iconic codes of the Aquaracer collection. With a 32mm steel case and dial in black or white mother of pearl, it has a 12-sided unidirectional rotating bezel featuring 6 polished lugs, and hands and indices covered with white SuperLuminova for enhanced visibility and optimal legibility in deep water. This version includes a striated dial, a date window with magnifier, and the second hand with arrow.
There is also a version with eleven diamonds (0.11 ct) on the bezel. The bracelet is steel, for optimal comfort, and alternates brushed links on the outside with polished links in the centre.
5. Aquaracer Emerald
Here’s a bonus, you can match with your significant other with the Aquaracer Emerald’s his and hers pieces. With a 43mm and 32mm case, it features a stunning green dial that creates an eye-catching light display with its sunray effect. The horizontal lines that run across the dial are inspired by the wooden docks where sailboats are moored. There is a date window at 3 o’clock on the dial, and the numerals on the bezel are filled in with black lacquer, as is the triangle marker at 12 o’clock. The 32 mm counterpart also get diamond hour markers.
Both watches are crafted from stainless steel and presented on stainless-steel bracelets. At the heart of the 43 mm model is the Calibre 5 Automatic movement, while the 32 mm model is powered by a quartz movement. They are both equipped with the six standard diving features of all models in the Aquaracer collection: water resistance to 300 metres (30 bar), a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, luminescent hands and markers, a double security clasp, and a sapphire crystal.
