The newly released Oris Aquis Date New York Harbor Limited Edition II doesn’t just tell time—it tells a story. It is not just a fashion statement—it’s a statement about richness of heritage, conservation of nature, and a pursuit of true sustainability.
The New York Harbor Limited Edition II is an inspiring collaboration between Oris and the Billion Oyster Project, a nonprofit organization devoted to restoring oyster reefs and regenerating marine ecosystems in New York Harbor.
The Billion Oyster Project’s goal is to return a monumental one billion oysters to New York Harbor by 2035. Oysters act as nature’s water filters and are crucial in restoring marine health. For Oris, this collaboration isn’t just a token example of corporate social responsibility; a portion of proceeds from each watch sold goes to support reef building, shell recycling, and community engagement.
As the watch’s name states, this is the second edition of the New York Harbor collaboration—a testament to both Oris’s commitment to the environment and to the strong reception from watch collectors.
Needless to say, the design centerpiece is the striking aqua-green mother-of-pearl dial, which features an “oyster-shell effect”—opalescent, subtly shifting with light, and inspired by the greenish colors of New York Harbor’s waters as well as the delicate beauty of oyster shells.
Measuring a substantial 43.5mm and with a robust stainless-steel 13.1mm thick case, the Aquis Date New York Harbor Limited Edition II sports a unidirectional rotating bezel with minutes scale in relief. It has a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a water resistance of 300m (30 bar). It wraps elegantly around your wrist with a stainless-steel bracelet or an included aqua-green rubber strap with folding clasp. It’s a dive watch that seamlessly transitions to urban, everyday wear.

Each watch is individually numbered, with the range limited to just 2,000 pieces worldwide. Powering the watch is the Oris Calibre 733, which has a power reserve of 41 hours.
With the New York Harbor Limited Edition II, Oris shows that a luxury timepiece can also deliver a timely message. With a 300m depth rating, stainless-steel case, sapphire crystal, high luminosity, and integrated bracelet or rubber strap, this is more than a collectible—it’s a supremely accomplished dive watch that will resonate with watch collectors who appreciate limited-edition timepieces with a story. It reminds us that a watch can be more than a status symbol or a fashion accessory. It can embody values—a deference for nature, an awareness of environmental fragility, and a stewardship toward the planet.
