It all started with a hole in the wall in Makati, serving only tempura by the piece. Now with seven branches across and beyond Metro Manila, Japanese comfort food restaurant Ebi10 reopens its Eastwood location, with a fresh look, new food offerings and a teppanyaki wing, making it the first branch in the city to offer this.
Opening its doors and welcoming Eastwood residents, office workers and passersby to its home, the new Ebi10 space serves up hearty Japanese dishes meant to turn every meal into a celebration. Packed with flavor and filled to the brim, each item in the menu features classic Japanese favorites made for the Filipino palette.
Fans and newbies to the brand can expect a variety of Japanese homestyle meals in the Ebi10 menu. Apart from its signature tempura offerings, which built its foundation, the restaurant also serves up beloved fusion sushi rolls, including Crazy Maki and Salmon Aburi Roll, and plates for sharing, like Bacon Yakisoba, Kani Salad and Crispy Torikatsu. Diners should also look out for new offerings, such as the Ramen Overload – that is, housemade noodles packed along with all your ramen toppings – Banana Tempura Split, and mocktails Kyuri Mint Fizz and Mango Fizz.
Unique to its Eastwood spot is the teppanyaki room. First launched in its out-of-town locations in Nuvali and Angeles, Ebi10 now brings its flame-grilled specials to the metro with the expanded Eastwood branch. These include meats like Seared A5 Hida Wagyu and Prime Ribeye, seafood like Shira Ebi Shrimp and Aklan Oysters, and fried rice options. Families and friends alike can enjoy dishes straight from the iron plate a la carte, in group sets good for 6, or even as individual surf and turf meals.
The refreshed space features Ebi10’s rebranded look, with clean Japandi-inspired interiors mixed in with colorful noren patterns. Just like other recently opened spots, Ebi10 Eastwood caters to intimate celebrations with its private function room that seats up to 20 people. Offices and teams can also opt to hold their offsite meetings at Ebi10, as the branch provides a projector and screen for use.
With the office crowd in mind, Ebi10 Eastwood boasts a filling lunch bento menu, allowing diners to select their favorite viand – beef yakiniku, ebi tempura, chicken karaage or tonkatsu, among others – to go along with miso soup, grilled vegetables, sushi rolls, a side salad, furikake rice and a glass of calamansi juice. After work, customers can wait out the traffic at Ebi10’s Happy Hour, when they can celebrate making it to the end of a long day with the restaurant’s signature cocktails. Young professionals and barkadas alike can also look forward to upcoming DJ schedules to be launched at the space soon.
Inviting everyone to join in the celebration, Ebi10 will be offering hefty discounts at its Eastwood branch. From July 28-August 1, its entire selection of donburis will be at 50% off, so diners can share their favorite rice bowls, like bestselling Garlic Steak Donburi, the classic Katsudon, the overloaded Tempuradon or the unique Enoki Niku Don.
