For this year’s National Heroes Day, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (Shell) honored the everyday Filipino— from vaccinated citizens to its station attendants known as Service Champions — as today’s heroes for their contributions in keeping communities safe and the economy running during the pandemic.

Shell rewards vaccinated Filipinos with special deals and discounts under the National Heroes Day promo “Salamat sa mga Bakunadong Bayani.”

To celebrate and thank the country’s modern heroes, Shell launched the “Salamat sa mga Bakunadong Bayani” campaign where the Bakunadong Bayani— or the everyday Filipino who protects his fellowman from COVID by undergoing vaccination— can take advantage of special deals and discounts whenever they present their vaccination cards at Shell stations.

Special deals include discounts on Shell fuels and Shell Select, limited-edition merchandise using Shell Go+ points, and even FREE 1L fuel with every purchase of select Shell Lubricants during the exclusive National Heroes Day promo period of August 23-September 12, 2021.

Shell remains committed to improving customer experience and advocating safety as a shared responsibility with initiatives like Shell’s Bakuna Benefits and Good Jab! to continuously serve all of Shell’s partners and customers.

Pilipinas Shell FuelSave Brand Manager Vanessa Ejercito said the limited time offer, in partnership with Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat, aims to delight customers while making their day-to-day journeys easier, safer, and more enjoyable with Shell’s Bakuna Benefits. “Let us all do our part to keep moving the Philippines forward by getting vaccinated,” she added.

Meanwhile, Shell Mobility Operations Manager Tabbee Bagadion-Puertas commended Shell Service Champions for their dedication and positive attitude as Shell’s frontliners during the Araw ng Service Champion which was also celebrated by Shell nationwide alongside National Heroes Day.

Shell recognized exemplary service personnel as Shell’s frontliners during the Araw ng Service Champion on National Heroes Day.

At the same time, she encouraged the Service Champions to protect their health as a way of also protecting others especially their loved ones: “‘Wag kakalimutan na habang inaalagaan niyo ang inyong mga customer, dapat inaalagaan niyo rin ang inyong mga sarili. Importante na magpabakuna laban sa COVID-19.” (But while you’re taking good care of our customers, don’t forget to also take care of yourselves. It is important to be vaccinated against COVID-19.)

To ensure the safety of their frontline staff and customers, Pilipinas Shell launched earlier this year a nationwide vaccination campaign called “Good Jab!” for the estimated 17,000 Service Champions attending over 1,100 Shell Mobility sites across the country and interact with approximately one million customers daily. This program supports the education and inoculation of Service Champions with their respective LGUs through incentives and monitoring of their vaccination status. The Araw ng Service Champion celebrated alongside National Heroes Day, the work that they do – day in and day out to keep the Philippines moving forward, and keeping safe amidst the challenges of the pandemic.

Shell remains committed to improving customer experience and advocating safety as a shared responsibility with initiatives like Shell’s Bakuna Benefits and Good Jab! to continuously serve all of Shell’s partners and customers.

Under Shell’s “Good Jab!” campaign, customers who visit Shell stations are assured of their safety as Service Champions are vaccinated against COVID and follow health protocols.
